  • Really great job thank you. How can i get a stove like this?

  • Since you are working with beans, can you use the "Bean Gas " to produce more energy .

  • Now I'm hungry. Cool stove though, thanks for showing Us.

  • Nice design, very similar to what I'm doing with 10" can and an old stubby thermos inner/outer (as a TLUD with secondary air-flow). The flue is definitely key for maintaining good updraft and has to be fairly tall, have to experiment some more but think updraft can be maintained with it a little shorter, guess depends on ambient temp.

I've been looking at adding a constrictor type ring like you've got halfway up there, think seeing this has convinced me it's a must.

  • That truly is amazing, Congrats. Its too bad that 2 people don’t like beans :/

  • neat, but 50 servings, not around here

  • Is there any design schematics online for this stove?

  • Hey Lanny,

With beans, if you get all that foam it is because the water temperature is too hot! You could add a little bit of oil to the mix, and it would help break up all the foam.

  • 10:1 ratio is fantastic. I really like this one.

  • wheres the ham bone

    or the bacon/pork pork pork

  • a little unsave, it if tips over, you're dead :O

  • thats an excellent design i'm sure third world countries would really benefit from this design, well done Lanny...

  • @hitmanface 3 rd world heck we have a 3rd world in our midst currently. There is a you tuber Mark Horvath his channel "Invisiblepeopletv" Interviews todays homeless people and they are not who you would expect many never did drugs in their life and are top notch graduates from quality universities. Yes the so called best of the best are on the streets in the so called wealthiest nation on the planet. Your design can make life so much better for those that are outdoors with very litte.

  • THANK U SO MUCH FOR YOU WORK IN SHOWING THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO COOK WITH BAMBOO. FOR A LONG TIME A HEARD THAT IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO DO WHAT YOU HAD JUST SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO. PLEASE STAY FOCUSED.

  • Great channel with many great videos. Thanks much...terrific job. Bob C

nice to have you narrating again.

  • "If I let this pot boil over twice I'll really look stupid." That's funny! Seriously though, no you won't. Your designs are excellent, far from being stupid!

  • pena q no entiendo mucho...pero igual es impresionante!! alguien q tradusca lo mas importante del video por favor...lo basico se entiende =)

  • very impressive!

  • Wow that's a tiny bundle of bamboo to cook all those beans. Great work on the stove!

  • Looks mighty efficient. Thanks for sharing

  • I really enjoy your videos and designs on stove building. Please keep them coming.

  • mmmmmmmmm... paint can pinto beans...

  • exactly, simply sit-and-wait dorks! poor people they never appreciate and value resourcefulness. why wont they try using bamboo sticks to clean their asses when they are in a jungle!

  • Lanny, don't waste your time acknowledging those who would criticize. Those are the one who will be begging for scraps because they didn't learn how to feed themselves.

    5 stars!

  • Thanks everyone, your support does make a difference!!

  • This is the most complicated bean-making process I've ever seen.

  • I was mostly focused on content. I need to work my audio.

  • Really awesome! This could be easily used in third world countries. Great work! 5*

  • Lanny Henson The Worlds Greatest Efficient and Innovative Stove Builder!

Thanks For Your Videos They Give Us All Inspiration. 5/5

  • Another well done presentation< Lanny! Great job.

  • The Retained heat is the way to go... Great demo!

  • a little veggie oil, 2T.? will help keep the foam down

  • You give new meaning to the word "gasification," and I don't mean "excess air". ; )

  • Excellent!

  • very nice beans look awesome.

  • great design

  • To prevent boil over, a water spray will collapse the foam by reducing the surface tension of the bubbles. I use a 0.5l garden trigger spray bottle for brewing beer for when foam build-up is sudden. Having a genuine skimmer to hand certainly helps. ;-)

  • It's really the ventilation of the fire I wish to discuss but how long does it take from cropping the grass to getting it to 14% moisture normally.

  • Very impressive.

  • Lanny, i am really impressed! i looked for your web site and it didn't come up. would love to have more conversation... thanks

  • Awesome Lanny , Good to see you posting again.. This is truly amazing.

  • Awesome Lanny!! Love the "cooker" Very innovative! 5/5 Ed
