I've always loved whitacre's music, it might be because i play the french horn and i just generally prefer this type of music, either way, you've done a beautiful job. my favorite part of Lux is 1:40 in, whether done chorally or instrumentally and you were beyond wonderful and gave me chills, thank you for that. i hope you do this for the rest of time because you have a gift most of us, mainly me, only wish we had. :)

To terrastar6 - I've been a choir director for nearly 20 years, and am a computer programmer and digital audio/video hobbyist. There is nothing going on in this recording that is to be called "faked". There is clearly some manipulation (she is NOT a bass!), but this is legit. Otherwise, it's simpy called "reverb". I used to do this kind of stuff with an old reel to reel recorder. It's neat to see the next generation still doing this with the new technologies!

Melody, this is lovely! The last time I multi-tracked my own singing was also a piece with Latin text. I presented the four-part motet (as a cassette audio tape) for a Latin class project. A fellow students asked if it was my Mom and Dad singing. I was thrilled to be able to say that it was just me . . . wish I still had that tape! But I am sure it would not compare to your work here. Congratulations!
