@herronsht three tons huh. didn't know supra's weigh as much as a hummer all of a sudden. they are around 3400lbs(give or take). 2jz is the better engine. skyline is the better platform.

@mkIIIsupras IMO better only due to part support in the US. The 2jz was one of the only true jdm muscle engines to make it to this country. The RB30/25 performs better than the 2jz. I have both engines along with a Vg and a 4g

Yeah i could see a person having more fun with a rb30/25. but the 2jz is the best inline made to this day and will take a while for rb's to catch up to the power the 2jz lays down. vg30's are the second best for building huge power behind the 2jz. 500hp 2jz vs 500hp rb in the same shell. who would win? hard to say. u would know more than me. If I'm wrong explain your reasoning.

@mkIIIsupras The Rb30/25's are making the same power as the 2jz and saying catch up is relative being the production scale. There are more 2jz's and they were mass produced to the US. The VG has the current world record in land speed and 1/4 mile outside of it's difficulty to work on its awesome. I own all three motros plus a 4g. My DD low boost VG 443whp 423TQ Drag car (under construction) 2JZ-240sxdrives an RB240sx and 1st gen talon. When you use terms such as "best" it is always debateable

@mkIIIsupras As far as your question 500whp 2Jz - RB -VG in same shell. I personally believe from my experience The VG will beat them both due to the perfect design intake of the VG and the parallel turbo setup neither motors will spool up and have the throttle response between RB and 2J it is a driveres race all things being equal. the I have never seen another import motor have the tq curve or throttle response of a VG but they are a PAIN IN THE BUTT
