think of musical instruments, even Stradivarius had his understudies do most of the rough work, and that's just what the cnc does for us. i guess you think photography is not art
Let me know when you wright code in high C , Basic, C , and propeller. Aswell as understand the math required for both building a CNC table circuit and codeing both the firmware but the drivers. There is a high degree of skill involed with electrical engineering from physics to math to general programming. So no not any idiot can make a CNC table let alone understand how to even use CAD software used to controll it.
are things that I experienced again with the first laser applied to the plotter.
There are many programs that can be used not only CAD and many can be downloaded from the internet ready, indeed, the CAD does not serve just about anything, just any graphics program, even paint ...
This is not art nor science, is just a way to say ooohhhhhh to idiots.
Talent will get anyone there quicker. One has to be able to see further than the classical. Giotto to Rembrandt to Van Gogh to Warhol to Hockney---the ideas and inspirations and patrons change. So does the art. Copies are worth doing for the exercise of seeing what they saw. But allow them to push your sights further. Surely you can appreciate that. So why can't you appreciate this ?
Geez, Some people really don't have an idea of how long some things can take when engraving at 600 or 1200 dots per inch. I usually engrave at 150 dpi and it can take 3 hours for a 12 inch square picture to finish.
Nice job on the picture. It's really hard to get the pictures right when laser engraving.
I am working on a project that has been going on for two years and will be completed in 13 more years and I dont even know what I am talking about.

I am an artist who works and creates with his hands.

Art is not defined by who or what makes it. The definition is always evolving. Maybe you should evolve, too?
FirstFiveFrets 2 years ago
one can not miss the arts and art.
evolution should be ok but not forgetting the true art, classical art. I do classical art, change does not interest me.
I am convinced that those who make abstract art, or new forms of art because it has no capacity to form defined his inspirations.
happens to me .... but many are not able to draw and this is true.

More vid, more vid, more vid. Time delay, if the vid is to long. It would be cool to see it from the start.
