If you get grabbed while at the bottom of the room, he will actually help you grab the M tank. But doing that allows him to respawn when you get near the ladder...

Here's where the game stops me dead in my tracks. By the time I get to this section I have barely any lives left and that blob boss always gets me. Pain in my ass.

There's a trick to trashing this boss quickly. Basically, time the pattern for releasing the BHB, and set it off right on the outside of the gel. The instant the core is hit, switch to the weapon screen and select something else. This deactivates the bomb. Now immediately switch back to the BHB and fire another one. Steer it up toward the other blob and detonate it right at the edge. If you timed it right, you'll hit the core again right before it enters the gel and becomes invulnerable.

this boss is a nightmare... i made it here last night with 6 lives, and no weapon energy in my b bomb...there was little i could do other then die over and over and over, and with no saves. i have to start back at the beginnig of wily's stage now...

That second gravity chamber is a nightmare! Overshoot and you get dragged into the spikes, shoot too little and you get powned b the spikes anyway! Is the boss weak against anything in particular?

IMPORTANT COMMENT!! There is a very easy unexpected way of getting that M tank in the gravity chamber. Enter the screen at the very left hand side and let the claw thing grab you. he will carry you safely to the M tank and all thats left to do is shoot wildly to the right so you get to the ladder

At the 3:15 part, that was the first time I died horribly by those claw enemies I thought I was home free for not touching the spikes and all I had to do was keep going until I hit the wall on the right that's next to the ladder, but then that enemy appeared and pulled me straight into the spikes right next to it and killed me right then and there. When it happened to me, I was like this with my mouth open. =0.........................

That was pretty evil that they did that to me.
