I don't know about the 9x39mm round, as I've never seen one in the US, but the 7.62x39mm should have a longer barrel to get the 7.62 up to proper velocity to keep its flatness over longer distances. I'm building an AK-47 Bullpup, styled off the OC-14 Groza with a longer barrel (Yugoslavian 22" RPK Barrel). I was thinking of retooling some 7.62x39mm casings into 9x39mm casings and using 9x19mm bullets to fit to the 39mm casing, but that's not within my budget right now lol.
3:33 looks like a P90 with how compact it is! Also looks like someone took an A2 rear sight/carrying handle off an M16 and slapped an AK front sight like 6 inches in front of it lol. Still short sight radius doesn't matter for CQC like it's intended for.
@cyckarz the two weapons have different roles they are not comparable.
For example if you want to penetrate something, the 9x39 is suits better than 5.45x39, thats for sure. The range and accuracy with silencer is enough, just like in the case of VSS Vintorez.

At longer ranges the 5.45 might be a better choice for armor penetration, but the sheer mass, energy, and weight of the 9x39mm round will outweigh regular ar rounds' piercing abilities closer ranges. They also have outstanding stopping power. Besides, most firefights take place at less than 100 meters.

Are you aware of the comany Arsenal Inc. in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA? They take the Saiga that comes from Izhmash and put the trigger gaurd up foward to the standard pistol grip configuration, put 24mm threads, and put a AK-100 style stock set one it. It is the best we can do in America due to stupid anti-gun laws. I wish I could have a real AK-47m or better yet the whole AK-100 seris! Do you prefere the PK-AS red dot sight or the Kobra red dot sight?
Fact is OC-14 is probably the most reliable bullpup assault gun- L85, FAMAS or Steyr don't even come close when reliabilty comes in mind. And that's probably due to the trigger mechanism taken from the AKS. Anyhow- I really liked the way this clip presented the gun- even though I don't speak good Russian;)
Yes ive same reliable, as all series АК. But it for a near and average distance, for city fights. Usual АК-74м, equipped with a grenade cup discharge and optics, it is much better for fight, on open district. My English is bad.

Okay, I don't think you are lying, just I have read everywhere that it's sighting range is "up to 400 m". I know, that means maybe about 300 m, but If it 200, it doesn't matter, because this weapon is made for special purposes to unite these roles I wrote down in description. To fulfill all the roles perfectly is impossible, If the weapon must be light and balanced, easy to carry, it can't be a long-barreled sniper rifle with superior range. Silencer also worsens range I think.
Also, dvuhsot and dvesti both work. I'm not too sure which one is correct in this situation since I moved to America when I was fairly yound and didn't get any official russian education. keep in mind that very few people always use proper grammar in any language.

He said it's 200 meters, which is pretty typical for 9x39 ammo. Keep in mind that is "practical" range, and not maximum range. I wouldn't be surprised if a skilled sniper could exceed it. Also, weapon sight increments don't necessarily indicate neither maximum range nor effective range. I have a romanian AK clone, and the sights go up to 1 kilo in 100 meter increments. My dad served in the Russian army, and he says that the maximum lethal range is 6 kilos, although that's hardly practical range.
7.62x39 version is for SpetsNaz, this accepts standard AK-47 magazines and Ak-74 bayonet. This Groza uses 9x39 SP-6 like VSS Vintorez. This is for MVD.
Sorry... But all this "new" gun is is an ak-74 with the buttstock cut off, a grenade launcher added, a pad put at the end of the receiver and the trigger moved forward and connected by a linkage (bullpup)... Same exact inner workings as the old ak-74 AND ak-47... This design dates back many years and was never popular. The Romanians tried it. The Ukrainians tried it. It is good only as a specialty weapon and is not in wide use with any military...
I think you miscalculated about the role of this weapon. Everybody knows, that it bases on AK-74. The new thing is the absolute compactness, and universality. Sniper, assault weapon, tactical weapon, personal defense weapon. However it can't be compared with a real sniper, but it unites theese role I mentioned above. It is not for regular Army. It is not the replacement for AK. It is weapon of special troops and agents, a good compact hit-and-run weapon for FSB.
Also, don'e forget that the AK74 fires 5.45mm rounds whilst the Groza fires 9.39mm rounds, also the Groza-1 fires 7.62 rounds using the same magazines as the AK47.
I would like to know the range at which oe could expect a 6 inch pattern with one of these. I am thinking of getting one, but I have been told that the AK47 is a bit inaccurate at a range. It certainly is a wonderful weapon, but if you could get back to me about its effective range pls.
This is OC-14 Groza. It has similarities to AK, but it is a different weapon, so comparison with AK, especially with old 47 is useless. I think (but I never held this gun) its range could be around 400 m. The official sighting range is 700m. In sniper mode (scope, muzzler) it could be compared to VSS Vintorez, because of the short barrel, and 9X39mm SP-6 cartridge.

Very nice weapon. I'm not a big fan of the bullpup design, but this weapon system looks very versatile and reliable, due to the Kalashnikov action.

You don't get it because you don't know the Kalashnikov line of design. It is a replaceable part of gas system, you can remove it and clean the gun. You can find it on every rifle in the Kalashnikov line. So you can swap it to AK-74s part, as you can see at 1:36, the two weapons are relatives.

It seems like the Groza is more versatile weapon than the TAR.
Besides, the TAR is the ugliest rifle I have ever seen.

At about 2:55 he says "dvitzot metrov" Dritzot means 200 and metrov meens meters. Back at 2:50 he says "But even with these Tools for Practical Ranged Combat it only reaches 200 meters. 3:09 he says "The Storm Concept OC-14 Groza didnt reach major production, But Played a huge role in tactical warfare involving close range combat" Later at 3:30 he says "But specifically the Groza became the First Russian-made universally used weopon for ANTI-TERROR." ening at 3:36. Okay, I don't think you are lying, just I have read everywhere that it's sighting range is "up to 400 m". I know, that means maybe about 300 m, but If it 200, it doesn't matter, because this weapon is made for special purposes to unite these roles I wrote down in description. To fulfill all the roles perfectly is impossible, If the weapon must be light and balanced, easy to carry, it can't be a long-barreled sniper rifle with superior range. Silencer also worsens range I think.

Also, dvuhsot and dvesti both work. I'm not too sure which one is correct in this situation since I moved to America when I was fairly yound and didn't get any official russian education. keep in mind that very few people always use proper grammar in any language.

yes dvuhsot is "OF 200" but dvesti is just 200. like dvesti metrov is 200 meters

He said it's 200 meters, which is pretty typical for 9x39 ammo. Keep in mind that is "practical" range, and not maximum range. I wouldn't be surprised if a skilled sniper could exceed it. Also, weapon sight increments don't necessarily indicate neither maximum range nor effective range. I have a romanian AK clone, and the sights go up to 1 kilo in 100 meter increments. My dad served in the Russian army, and he says that the maximum lethal range is 6 kilos, although that's hardly practical range.

7.62x39 version is for SpetsNaz, this accepts standard AK-47 magazines and Ak-74 bayonet. This Groza uses 9x39 SP-6 like VSS Vintorez. This is for MVD.

no, two Oc-14 and type-95 is two totally different developments. No similarities, except bull-pup design.
There is a big difference in role as well:
As you can see, Oc-14 was designed to be an universal multi-purpose rifle for special forces.
Type-95 is a mass produced rifle for People's Liberation Army's forward troops.
Furthermore Type-95 based on 5,8x42 chinese cartridge instead of 5,45x39 or 9x39 Soviet used to Groza.

Sorry... But all this "new" gun is is an ak-74 with the buttstock cut off, a grenade launcher added, a pad put at the end of the receiver and the trigger moved forward and connected by a linkage (bullpup)... Same exact inner workings as the old ak-74 AND ak-47... This design dates back many years and was never popular. The Romanians tried it. The Ukrainians tried it. It is good only as a specialty weapon and is not in wide use with any military...

I think you miscalculated about the role of this weapon. Everybody knows, that it bases on AK-74. The new thing is the absolute compactness, and universality. Sniper, assault weapon, tactical weapon, personal defense weapon. However it can't be compared with a real sniper, but it unites theese role I mentioned above. It is not for regular Army. It is not the replacement for AK. It is weapon of special troops and agents, a good compact hit-and-run weapon for FSB.

Also, don'e forget that the AK74 fires 5.45mm rounds whilst the Groza fires 9.39mm rounds, also the Groza-1 fires 7.62 rounds using the same magazines as the AK47.

I would like to know the range at which oe could expect a 6 inch pattern with one of these. I am thinking of getting one, but I have been told that the AK47 is a bit inaccurate at a range. It certainly is a wonderful weapon, but if you could get back to me about its effective range pls.

This is OC-14 Groza. It has similarities to AK, but it is a different weapon, so comparison with AK, especially with old 47 is useless. I think (but I never held this gun) its range could be around 400 m. The official sighting range is 700m. In sniper mode (scope, muzzler) it could be compared to VSS Vintorez, because of the short barrel, and 9X39mm SP-6 cartridge.
PS: I can't understand u amies, why do you need a specialforces/hitman weapon at home... Hunting or what? do whatever you want...
