I feel the same way. Sorry for being a fashion history nerd, but even during the Victorian/Antebellum era, models were skinny because the ideal girl had boobs & bums so it would distract the viewers away from the clothes. At some point in time, we did have runway models who weren't totally thin (ex: Naomi Campbell & Cindy Crawford). Apparently, too much attention was on the models and not the clothes. Today, the excuse for skinny models is b/c the clothes "hang better".

@LilytheFrilly I juz love ur explanation.. I am also a self professed fashion geek.. Going back to ur opinon, i really agree that models are suppose to look thin since curves are really distracting and draws attention away from the designer's clothes. The fashion industry is also obsessed with tall young girls and every season, new faces appear on notorious shows (e.g prada)... Nice meeting u by the way.. :-)

@ebencipe its not that curves distract the clients from enjoying the designers clothes, it has nothing to do with curves, whats ruins the designers collection is if the model bounces and twists her curves left to right. you can have ass and titties but still walk professionaly.

all those things are still doable though. as long as you have a breath in your lungs, and god knows you seem smart enough, they are achievable. its all about getting out of that rut and making away for yourself. and once you do manage to climb out you stay out. if you're he only block in your life then move out of your way. yeah its easier said then done believe me, but it can be done. so the question is what will you do? i daydream all the time. probably more then you lol. so live the dream.

These clothes are not "pretend like" clothes. She is the most realistic designer of her time and I wouldn't hesitate to wear any of this line. Unfortunately no one in this house will ever have that opportunity. : ( We look like "early WalMart" over here.

The dream has taken us to garden parties at Buckingham Palace, the opera at the Met, a week-end in Monte Carlo, a date in Paris, Waltzing in Austria, a State Dinner at the Whitehouse, and the Royal Ballet in Russia. But for now it's faded jeans and a saturday night beer at the American Legion.

The girl at 2:00 looks alot more naturally pretty, sweet, and has much better enrgy than the girl at 2:17. The model at 2:17 looks very superficial and has so much strain in her face that she herself probably isn't even aware of it.....nor are you.
