Ironically I heard this in a dumb Christian church. Did you know that satanistic rituals involve scandalous incest and the child carried until the next date of sacrificial ritual. When it is killed/sacrificed and it's innocent blood consumed . The casting of this filthy spirit into writers is not a new thing! Corruption of all high places is what they are working on!
Also the scandalous part can refer to 1 Corinthians 1:23 "but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness" NKJV because stumbling block is "skandalon" in the Greek which is a trap, a snare, a stumbling block, a rock you stumble over. It is also called in another place "the rock of offense". The cross is offensive to the natural mind & pride. His is also a scandalous love, scandalous in it's lavishness and utterly out of proportion.
its scandalous that Jesus had to take on the wait of all of our sins when he himself was sinless. scandalous is not supposed to have like a sexual meaning but to mean that what jesus did and what happened to him its self was a scandal
lol, that's a good question. I always wondered myself :)!
Maybe because actually believing that we are sinners in need of him--and that Jesus not only died for us but also rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven is, well, sort of hard to believe sometimes? It scandalizes those who dont' believe, maybe...
The Choir did write this (Steve Hindalong and Derri Daugherty (sp?)). It's been covered by a number of other bands, but The Choir originally wrote it years ago. Steve Hindalong, who writes most of The Choir's lyrics, also wrote the worship song "God of Wonders". They've been around for many, many years.
i beilive in that

Because, Jesus' whole life was pretty much a scandal. First off with Mary being pregnant out of wedlock, to the radical way He lived His life.

The reason it is scandalous is because of the fact what he had to go through was shameful and they disgraceful...I hope that helped! :)

@peralander Listen to what the spirit says! It is satanic ritual! It is inexcusable to claim to know without testing the spirits!

pipc14 2 years ago
it is a pretty good visual i think of the physical pain, but i think the pain of seperation from the father was probably much worse for him.

Incredible. One of my favorite songs with the perfect visual (I imagine a Passion version would be much too graphic)
