i think rome and M2 had so many units it kept it fresh.

i just dont like the management of things. empire doesn't have a lot of units but its HUGE.

shogun and Napoleon perfected the Generals but shogun has far to little units andd bores quickly.

so what we need is a Total War game with

-A variety of units

-Good city and faction management

-The whole world would be nice..

-maybe even starting off in BC going to around the 1800's

any other suggestions?

Aggressive, brutal and tend to expand i think they will suit my playing style good. @FEAR709 Sadly natives don't have access to navies and there are no mercenary ships. You can't conquer islands as natives unless you obtain them diplomatically.

Medieval 2 Total War is the best game of the series.. Rome Total War is great, but the managment system is screwed up.. Many of your cities start revolting and go into debt, no matter what you do to help it.. Medieval 2 fixed it though, and that's why I like it better. Rome total war has great units and factions, really diverse, while MW2 seems dark, unfriendly, generic..

evrything is great in m2tw americas,just i miss portugal.They were much greater force than england or france in that time and they were equal to spain.So americas will be better if they were portuguese in.Maybe it would be better that the map would go to south america, rather than north.Than we will have portugal and incas and some other factions instead of france,england and some other natives.

@tamweiwen just abuse your generals bodyguard (as spain) by constant charging and retreating, focusing on heavy units and general units. This works well in open battles. An ohter one is just focusing on their cities and sacking them giving you extra money and crippeling their economy

@sergeant07 Actually, I played ETW closely, and found that ETW requires a whole lot of new tactics. So the game becomes more and more interesting. About M2TW, I LOVE this game!! Especially after I bought Kingdoms expansion.

This game really puts the predicament of the natives into perspective if you play as them, you have a stable flow going throughout your empire, the subjugation of other tribes is easy, economy is booming, and then all of a sudden the Spanish and the English crap on it all!

their scouts should have been their best units but they are good for nothing

and when the bows and rifles shoots they kill only 2-3 LIGHT units while 60 units shoot (at least 20 units should have died it is no logic only 2-3)

I think the Crusades campaign is the best because it's just such an interesting period of history. It's even more interesting to change it
