I'm not religious either, but you fail to make a very clear and fundamental distinction. Religion does not cause people to create problems - it is PEOPLES INTERPRETATION of religion and what they believe "God" says. Besides, in the absence of religion, radicalism has always been apart of human nature - so naturally anything would be used to justify their extreme position - Bible or not.
