Listen, Richard and his brother aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree and  I am sure were picked for that reason. There is a much larger picture here that many haven't seen but trust me when I tell you that if Richard was bragging in prison about this kind of stuff, he probably was watched over and had privileges and protection for doing his part in this kidnapping and ritual killing.

i would never believe that 2 or more people were involved in this. Whoever did it acted alone and has been smart enough to keep his mouth shut about it.  Hard to believe that someone would be out on the yard in prison bragging about killing a child unless he wants a beating. Even the majority of inmates are decent enough that they do not like people who victimize kids. Most child molesters in prison have to lay low and keep to themselves to survive, they will lie about their crimes.

From all I've read about this case, it seems probable that the person(s) who abducted Jacob were familiar w/the area and confident in being able to transport him and not draw attention. To an 11 yr old, an adult wearing a ski mask and having a gun would be sufficient motivation to keep quiet, not yell for help or try to run. I don't fault his parents because it is a town without much crime, plus he was with his brother and friend.

Jacob's parents were irresponsible and not thinking in letting the kid go out with his Brothers after dark to ride their bikes to and from a Video store after dark on a School Night. That means they were dense and had a false feeling of security in that they let certain people get near their children. So a group of people were in on it an gradually set up a strategy in how they planned to grab him.

If for any reasojn i let myh kid ride a bike to a video store i would have followed him or gone 2

The crime is the one featured in the video-him and his brother molested a child in Clearwater for several years. Yes, he only got 2 years in prison.
