Listen Up! This is a midi controller, meaning it is compatible with any program that accepts midi devices. That means it can be mapped for use with Traktor, Serato, and Virtual DJ.
I need to know if the NS7 crossfader is midi. (ie: the dj application shows the position and movements of the crossfader on the screen) I bought a MixDeck because the salesperson told me that it WAS a midi crossfader, but it turns out that was wrong.
my main provlem with my ns7. the fader is not a magnetic non contact fader. if you use your ns7 a lot (like me, i practice probably 10 or more times a day) your fader will bleed very soon
@finomhiphopandskate I'm pretty sure that this whole unit comes with Serato ITCH. But If anything, Serato ITCH 2.0 Is up for download on their website. I'm currently looking at upgrading from my Hercules RMX and I downloaded ITCH from the Serato website and it only currently works on Offline mode at the moment (No Controller just yet). But all in all, if the software doesn't come with the controller, it still should be up for grabs on the website.

Vinyl, CDJs, and controllers all have the same outcome! I'm also a drummer, and I've never seen another drummer be turned away from playing a club because of the kind of kit he plays...and we're actually making our own music, not playing someone else's.
@sahrombi I'm sure there is a import service in your country. I'm from mexico and order stuff from ebay, not directly, but through a company in Laredo, TX. They take care of the import process and I it takes 5-7 weeks to get here. Hope it helps!

i own an ns7 and its a really cool unit to have but it is just not club friendly. You have to assume that the club has a set system and is probably not gonna have enough space for you to put your ns7 in there. so if your looking to purchase one keep that in mind. In my opinion i would go for something like 2 cdjs and a mixer instead.
put it this way... if youre NOT using 1200's (with or without serato)... THEN THIS IS THE ONLY OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU SHOULD USE.. im not gonna lie.. i love my NS7
but you cant escape the fact that tech 1200's and serato.. are IN EVERY CLUB across the country.. and a lot of clubs wont even let you DJ if you dont use there stuff.. TRUST me i know first hand..

@djziprn honestly itll probably work fine giving you have a lot of space on your pc.. but im serious when i say this.. my macbook was the single greatest investment of my life never had a single problem after 3 going on 4 years..
Totally agree. Had a friend who decided to go with the NS7 controller. He was able to get it at an awesome price from Pro Sound Stage and Lighting (1800 268-5520 ext. 8195). He's been using his NS7 from smaller gigs to larger gigs-all around.

cud ne one whos ever used this give a fair comparison of the crossfader to a existing model?? e.g. the curve is similar to the xone 02 or sumthin like tha. cheers.
oh and if we want to scratch, we need 2 tracks on both decks right? and we play the 1st deck and the 2nd deck for scratching right? do we have to put 2 same tracks or a different track? and how come when i try to scratch, it doesnt sound like scratching a vinyl. No, you don't have to put the same title in both decks ;) usualy, you put the main title on one deck and on the other deck you just put samples of voice (for exemple), then you scratch those samples with rythm over the main title wich don't stop.
@iSupaDupaFly Try looking for specific samples to scratch. The "waaah" sample is one of the biggest, most popular ones. DON'T try scratching a dance tune, that will never sound right. lol. Vocal samples and such tend to work best.

@iSupaDupaFly I stopped at guitarcenter and they had one of these and it was really awesome to play with, its very similar to a high torque turntable.
IDK WHAT I SHOULD GET!? i really like this, i was messing with it at guitar center and didnt want to leave.. but i like the S4 also! they have sick beat loop controls but yes i dont think i would like the static jog platters.. but it has a decent price. but i love the software on the ns7 cuz i can see both songs in 1 location rather than in 2 separate boxes
personally i like the NS7 cause those little box things just look like a toy. this actually feels like vinyl and the platters spin i hate platters that dont move.....they feel like your scratching with a mouse. just feels really fake.

Equipment space at a venue is not an issue. Carrying it wouldn't make a difference.
Most turntablists/scratchers/djs i know/see need to use the whole width of a 12".
Is there any latency ? I can't stand the latency on Serato etc.

i don't know if i should get Numark NS7 or Vestax VCI 300. i really like how the NS7 has motorized platters, and hate it how the VCI doesn't. but the price of the NS7 is pretty high.

i have a problem i just buy a brand new NS7 so i began my instalation but at the end it tells me that my NS7 Hardware was not install succesfully so if u can please help me! did i did the installation the wrong way ? or its my system NS7 not working propertly?shuld i return my NS7? or im missing a cd to install my NS7?
My ITCH program its Working propertly exept it say that my NS7 its diconected by it is conected tru the USB cable!!

Listen Up! This is a midi controller, meaning it is compatible with any program that accepts midi devices. That means it can be mapped for use with Traktor, Serato, and Virtual DJ.

I need to know if the NS7 crossfader is midi. (ie: the dj application shows the position and movements of the crossfader on the screen) I bought a MixDeck because the salesperson told me that it WAS a midi crossfader, but it turns out that was wrong.

my main provlem with my ns7. the fader is not a magnetic non contact fader. if you use your ns7 a lot (like me, i practice probably 10 or more times a day) your fader will bleed very soon

Kosmic Sound has the Ns7 for $1200.
There store is amazing and huge!
I'm getting my Ns7 in a couple of days off them and I will be posting a video of it when I get it.

@finomhiphopandskate I'm pretty sure that this whole unit comes with Serato ITCH. But If anything, Serato ITCH 2.0 Is up for download on their website. I'm currently looking at upgrading from my Hercules RMX and I downloaded ITCH from the Serato website and it only currently works on Offline mode at the moment (No Controller just yet). But all in all, if the software doesn't come with the controller, it still should be up for grabs on the website.

@DJLightningFlash it doesn't lol, the ns7 is 10x the price, they aren't even comparable, mix deck is fine if you need something to dj with, the ns7 is what you buy when you're playing at public venues/clubs

thiss guy inspired me to be a a dj when i was 16. the ns7 had just came out.i was going to be granted 10.000$
for equipment., but they called it off cause i got in a fight with some bloods for wearing a blue t-shirt. complete bull shit. im 18 now and i still wanna be a dj, but fuckin a! im an adult now and i got bills to pay.

I love the NS7. But the question is, when will every snobby CDJ club in the world start letting us use controllers? We're all just playing music. Vinyl, CDJs, and controllers all have the same outcome! I'm also a drummer, and I've never seen another drummer be turned away from playing a club because of the kind of kit he plays...and we're actually making our own music, not playing someone else's.
