@aaprato Yeah, Salonga's great. What I said earlier, btw, was no mark against Benson, I just meant that Benson and O'Hara had conventional "princess" voices that were beautiful, but Ashman moved them beyond that and exerted real characterization from their voices that made them memorable, ex. Ashman warding Benson against sounding like Ethel Merman or wanting O'Hara to emulate Streisand in Something There. I think its a shame Salonga never got to work with Ashman.
