@Jodino Its a poetry in Amharigna, but a pros translation of what he said would be something like: " Isn't it better to go to Ambasel than worrying ( thinking too much) in the world of reminiscence?" To better understand the meaning, it would be good if you know about the place Ambasel and the style of music called Tizita ( reminiscence).
This singer is amazing - Saw his interview with Ethiopian TV recently and am fascinated by his humbleness, sharp answers, and demeneaour (tehetena). His dad was perhaps the most accomplished and yet lttle acknoledged artist in HagerFiker and in all of Ethiopia. The unique thing about Dawit's dad, Frew, was
that he was out of his league and had lists of exceptionally beautiful songs like
Eshururu, Gumu Garedogen New, Menfesen Lemades, Almaz Meneda new, etc. Keep it up Dawit - Degitu
@love4noreason haha sorry i jst saw the begining of the video right now...it IS ambasel...again i lovvvvvve it...you should hear merhawi sitot play ambasel also he's awsome
In 1967 A young girl was looking for her dog and she got killed. send this to ten vidios in 5 minutes or her gost will me moaning for her parents outside your window and on the fith night you will wake up at midnight, standing over you with a dagger and will take no mercy.....
can someone tell me please..if dawit has other music i'm tryn to find them but very hard to get anything a truelly blessed with talent god bless you bro!
Beautiful, trippy, enchanting, soulful....I discovered Ethiopian music not that long ago, Mahmoud Ahmed was the first artist I heard, now I feel glad to keep learning and listening to more...Ethiopia must be a beautiful country, you can tell by just hearing this music. Thanks for posting this videos.
CAUTION: Do not play this music while you are driving, you might lose your focus. It is so smooth and delicieous, it may compromise our attention. I have almost gotten in trouble.
Do you all know the region Wello claims ownership to the four Amharic music notes( Ambassel, Tizita, Anchi-hoye lene, and Medina Ina Zelesegna).... My favorite: "Ambassel"! Man,I love Ethiopia! I love Addis!
this is your sister from dubai. i am really proud of that you are my brother. God bless you with all the things you are doing. it means a lot for me. you know that my love and respect for you. please keep it up.you are know on the truckand it is thebeginning. i expect more.
Dawit you have done it again...great job, we hope you beat the competition out there and become famous. Please start touring the different states in the U.S. and let us have a taste of real Ambasel, real Abesha music. Cher yegtemen.
Proud to see you here and I wish you more success. Please take care yourself and tell you mom Z congratulation. By the way you look like your father more and more...
Dear Dawit...I really like your new CD specially the Ambasel track...well played...nice video too...please keep it up. You became one of the very few people who play " AMBASEL " as it should be played.
Nice Job...i hope i will be nice enough to come up with a lot more.
