  • soo... when does VTEC kick in?

  • Looks like a mini af1

  • Hello to 240p

  • When does the v-tec kick in?

  • Ricer fly by.

  • It looks like a dolphin :/

  • The wing is too close to the ground!!! LETHAL in a turbulent crosswind.

Put the wing on the top and leave the engins on top

  • Comment removed

  • Ugly.

I want the new Cirrus Vision.....so badly....

  • does it have VTEC?

  • Engine placement is not whimsical. They are taking advantage of the necessary strength in that part of the wing to bolt on an unavoidable stressful item as the engine; saving weight at the tail, also engine´s separation from the runway makes it less prone to foreign object damage, there are center of gravity placement considerations too, japs are quite smart , specially the guys at HONDA where engineering is passion and philosophy... and a matter of national pride

  • Japanese are good workers they are all unified together. However they lack creative technology as most of their tech comes from US and Europe. Example Honda designed and built this plane in the US - Ohio and West Virgina. Also they think they invented the Shinkansen bullet train however they got the tech from the Germans and the Germans got it from two US engineers. Please google all the tech Japanese have it's really quite small. Think about who put a man on the moon.

  • @kobekungfu The Japanese also tested a nuke at the end of the war on a south korean Island and had calculus before Newton .

    see watch?v=gdCe2wBeCiw

I would not underestimate the technological output of Japan with out some deeper analysis.

  • @tmcdon4ld What this video doesn't do is go into great detail on how wide the nuclear technology was available then. The US was light years ahead of the Japanese in this technology. The Japanese primary weapon was the I-400 class submarine and was to drop biological bombs w/airplanes on both east and west coast. However like most of their inventions it was plagued with problems that could not be fixed. That's why it was captured by the US Navy. Google i400 submarine. Biological tech from Europe

  • @tmcdon4ld Like I said in the beginning part of my first comment "Japanese are good workers they are all unified together" Pretty much they're all +99% on-board when it comes to a project and no will argue the point. Now this is where it gets interesting in the west they'll argue the point until a resolution is met. Meanwhile, the Japanese can gain ground in production however never achieve perfection unless they have an outside influence. They lack the ability of an original idea.

  • still not a technology breakthrough.. can they come out with something NEW??? putting the jet turbine upside down is nothing new.. the Russian did that after WW2

  • SMURFS blue

  • bg11215

....exactly what GM said about japanese cars...40 years ago...anyone that rates american cars still higher than japanese ones...?

  • トヨタが参入してきたらワロス

    今の経営陣がどう考えているかしらんがロボットやら航空機…自動車に固執しない

    出来ることはやる、独自性を持たせる、姿勢はさすがホンダ。最高だぜ

  • @mahotechTube Unfortunately, lots of Japanese companies have capabilities and potential so great, but they restrict themselves to a narrow field. It's such a waste of potential it hurts to think about it.

  • VTEC kicked in yo

  • Not to mention the fact that Honda has exactly zero experience manufacturing aircraft, let alone jets. I'd be sceptical that people would spend $3-4 million for one of these when there are so many better looking small jets out there made by experienced aviation companies.

  • I wouldn't get one of these. It isn't sexy lookin in the least, and I'm sorry but appearance & ramp presence count for a lot in my book! The way the engines are mounted is odd looking. Quirky Japanese.

  • Since i live right near the head quarters, i saw it take it's first flight it was very beautiful :)

Love all the buisness and jobs that greensboro is and has been getting, thank you honda jet :D

Also putting it on the map as a international buisness power house, So again thank you hondajet!

  • 日本の意地とプライドの産物。世界のトヨタですら真似できない。

  • @shirowani64 Well, at least Toyota makes houses. Honda can't make those... Yet.

    ^_^

  • hello

  • Hey that is dangerous that piikki look at the Google translition! Finnish to English Dear santa......................... I hope that you arnt poor! I dont want that boring duplo plane! I want that jet!

  • I wish i had a jet..... :(

  • That's one sexy jet

  • この機体をU-125Aの後継機に!!

  • Oh Honda My favorite company =)

First Motorcycle - the car and now a Jet

  • Embraer is the best. Honda is inexperienced!

  • @bobbull2003 That's what I think too!

  • hOoooonnnDaaaa......

  • カッコイイな

  • if you were to look in the dictionary and find the word 'sexy'.... it would discribe this plane!

  • 自衛隊にも協力してくれ!!

  • one of

  • かっこいいですね。

  • whats the song?

  • i see this plane everyday

  • does this have vtech in it!!! can i get different mufflers for it!!! can i find different body kits for this honda???

  • i love the trademark Honda Sound

  • As I have discussed at length on another post, If you are going to finance one of these (as I did) do not, repeat: DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH Bank Of America. I learned my lesson the hard way. Follow Dave Ramsey's advice and find a MANUAL UNDERWRITER. Otherwise ASIMO will ROBOSIGN on your ass. My Grandma tried to explain this to me but I wouldn't listen. Predatory lending practices do not only exist in the Home Real Estate market. You can get UNDERWATER in the person/private business jet sector.

  • @MrRicmarc Thank you, sound advice.

  • and just 4 million.. Wow.. this is gonna sell xD

  • The fastest an most efficient VLJ so far and with a service ceiling of FL430. Going fast above the traffic and saving money while doing it. Good job!

  • im curious as to how the structural loads are displaced

  • what a fantastic video..but what' s the title of this melody?

  • hi im howie long..... holy sh*t no one told me honda made jets

  • Wicked machine!! I want one....and I want it NOW!!!

  • It is possible to travel anywhere with this jet

  • @jjorge2000 it's IFR range is Around 1100 Nautical Miles ( NM ) and it travels Around 450 knots at FLT300 ( 30.000 FEET )! it's a Real Bitch, it beats The Boing 747-400 In Speed, but, not in range

  • @SuperGilles27 I hope your unemployed and starving to dealth and homeless.

  • What song is this? Is it possible to get a copy somehow?

  • Oh I want to get away

    I want to fly away

    Yeah yeah yeah

Oh I want to get away

    I want to fly away

    Yeah yeah yeah

  • Screw this! I'm gonna buy Toyota's version then I'll never have to land!

  • @blueblob4 LOL if you buy the toyota version, you'll have the accelerator stuck and THAT is the reason you will never land!

  • look at the design.. :( they should make it look like odyssey.. it;s more look like dolphin

  • If Honda makes it, I have confidence in it.

  • @Schnookynibbles Damn straight!

  • japanese companies: the master of all trades but the inventor of none! (what i mean is that japan is the biggest innovator as opposed to inventor (usa, germany, uk))...

  • wow! the dream machine!

  • @emforty2 - Yeah, but the throttle sticks.

  • @emforty2 toyota doesnt make jets.

plus their engine cant perform as good as hondas. honda has one of the best engines in the auto industry

  • @fiveH honda makes motorbikes, f1 motors, race boats, outboard, moto gp, small motors, auto, etc, they are great maybe the best, still people still mock them, shame on them haters.

  • @ilikesuzuki robots,

  • @OGdank13 robots what

  • @ilikesuzuki honda makes robots too, asimo is the best robot made so far

  • @fiveH i wouldnt feel safe in a plane that the brakes fail mid-air

  • @emforty2 STFU... I bet that's cause the throttle sticks!

  • I think it looks beautiful, makes me wonder what the company's long term goals are, are they planning to compete with Boeing & Airbus or Rolls Royce & GE or both sectors? Whatever happens it'll give the market a kick.

  • They've had a problem with runaway flight controls. Oh wait, that was the ToyotaJet.

  • Thats just ugly.

  • @Ralroost

you must be blind or something

  • @lavakava w/e, even a brail image of this thing would be ugly.

  • @Ralroost you sir... are a retarded retard person

  • @sexking83 Care to explain your slander?

  • @Ralroost LOL I bet he called you that cause you said the plane is ugly!

  • i wanna fill it with subwoofers and fly over all the houses with the dj magic mike blairn'

  • cocpit looks so simple comparing to other jets .... not just big jets even those buisniess ones

  • Does it have VTEC? Can I put a body kit on it? Is it a turbo? What about light kits so it can be flashy lights and stuff? Is this a 10 second jet? Is there a MOMO steering wheel for this? What about an LED skull head shifter? Can it be lowered? Everyone knows lowering your car makes it faster. Would lowering make the jet faster? And handle better? It would look better with a NOS sticker. And those winglets aren't JDM. I gotta have everything be JDM.

  • well, if you buy one of these, give me a ride

  • it just doesnt look right somehow great design concept but I wouldnt buy it

  • anyone know what's the deal with that long probe on the end of the nose, looks like you could skewer people with that if you're not paying attention taxying, is it just to hold the camera for this film?

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • this is soichiro honda`s DNA

  • lolwut?

  • at 360k Rpms the V-Tec fan kicks in hehe.

  • v-tec is a great technology, nothing to laugh about it. anything you wanna laugh at, its the american shit like grumman or mooney - now these planes fall out of the sky regularly...lol

  • ooh freedom of speech... you made me laugh... :)

  • Seems like mounting the engines like that would put a lot of unnecessary stress on the wing root, with it being put on a lever angled off the back of the wing and all...

  • lol...a stress test know it all.....i am sure honda engineers experimented before they found the best engine mount location.

its a honda, not a french (embraer), canadian (lear) or american (piper), so its going to be a lot more safer in the air.

  • Why do you say that?

  • nice cute little airplane, meenn the cereal box most have been huge !!!

  • Can I mow my yard with one?

  • Nice, looks fantastic. But I think It's not a very clever idea to name it "honda-jet". Honda should have founded a sub-company for marketing the jet. The name "honda" might put off some potential buyers.

  • dude honda is the golden boy of reliability. you think LEAR probably and think thats a good plane. but im a aircraft mechanic and can tell you LEAR is crap..when time is money and your plane is down for maintenance HONDA would of been your safe bet

  • The Engines are made by GE.

  • honda is an awesome name..now if the name of the plane was chevy, gm, chrysler, ford, or even cadillac, i would avoid it at all costs

    @combatpara

  • I am a little concerned with what would happen if you lost a donk at a critical phaze...suspect you'd have enough power to get to the scene of the crash?

That said these VLJ's do look fantastic with great avionics suites!

  • I've owned just about every make of automobile and Honda are the very best. From Accords to Acuras I never look at any other makes because I've been spoiled by Hondas.

  • from accords to acuras! you could have at least said s2000 to nsx...

  • If Honda can make a jet plane with as much quality, precision and finesse as their motorcycles and cars have, I'd bet that's bound to be a fabulous machine. I think they'd probably make a great prop plane too.

  • there cars are shit the whole company sucks keep goin gulfstream

  • That's about the kind of comment I'd expect from a 16 year old kid.

  • because i dont like honda and there cars are terrible

  • Wait until you get a license before you say that.

  • i have my license buddy i own a truck already we got rid of a shitty honda

  • Oh a truck (that your parents bought for you)... What brand is it? Gulfstream, I assume...

Kid, you don't know anything about cars or planes. If you did, you wouldn't have opened up with such an ignorant comment. Grow up.

  • You bought that truck with whose money? That's what I though...

Even if your dad is a pilot, that doesn't mean you know anything about aviation or automotive. I DO know what I'm talking about when it comes to Honda -- I've owned more than one actually. And I have no problem taking a shot at a 16-year-old little know-it-all who badly needs to be taken down a notch or two.

  • my own money you dont know me or anything about me so keep ur mouth shut

  • hahaha yeah Air "CANADA" That's saying alot......dumbass.

  • empirically speaking your arguments are all wrong

  • Nah man the company doesn't suck. I don't know why you're trying to compete with yourself. I guess you're just jealous because you can't afford this elegant masterpiece. You'll embarrass yourself that way.

  • andrewfly24, you seem like a jealous xenophobe. gulfstream sucks.

honda is the golden boy of reliability. all these other airplanes keep falling out of the sky killing people. now if honda makes one, i know it will be safe.

  • honda rule

  • whats the song?

  • Michael Gettel - Prelude: First Snow

  • When I see this I am reminded that occasionally, just occasionally I am proud to be part of the human race.

  • why?

  • Anyone know why they mounted the engines on top of the wings instead of on the fuselage? Is the reason practical or aesthetic?

  • Honda engineers said it's more efficient not in all the wing but only if they're located in the right place (as they say they are on the Hondajet). On top of the wings the engines have less chance of swallowing little objects of any kind, dust, water or any other "contaminant" that could be on the ground.

  • Lets face it, Honda don't really fuck anything up do they?

  • i agree

  • nice palne ,nice music

  • i want one ! lol

  • me too!

  • to sexy honda for life !

  • I want one, anyone wanna give one to me? lol

  • It looks beautiful.

  • is there a type-r version of it !? xD put sum giovanni rimms on it and i'll get it... it comes with an 150 hp diesel engine right!? xD oh man this is sick...

  • nahh man, comes with a v-tec!

  • I bet Jeremy Clarkson will attempt to race THIS with some Honda as soon as it comes across him.

  • i like that look like bater from the G 150 from gulf stream

  • I bet some teens will attemt to race this with their civics.

  • engine close to windows. will be very noisy inside.

  • not exactly...

the ERJ-145 from Embraer has it's engines close to the windows , and the noise is absolutely not a problem...

  • In the battle to become the automotive industry leader Honda has took to the air with production of the HA-420 or Honda Jet. It is a supersonic high altitude reconnaissance jet which can also carry a payload of up to 1700kg. Often used to take photos of rival manufacturing facilities and sometimes bomb them. Each scramjet engine can produce 32,500 lbf (145 kN) of static thrust giving the Honda Jet a top speed of mach 4.1 at 80,000ft.

  • thanks for the information! LMAO at the sentence: Often used to take photos of rival manufacturing facilities and sometimes bomb them. ROFLMAO!

  • beautiful music ...does anyone know what is it called ?

  • Skywatching by Michael Gettel.

  • After the WW2 there were 114 motorcycle builders in Japan.

My father was 1 of them and Mr.Honda was also 1 of them.

When my father went to play to Honda motor company,

Mr.Honda was building a motorcycle with a tool in his hand.

At that time Honda was very little. It was only 3 person company.

Mr.Honda told his dream. That was building a original jet plane in the future.

Mr.Honda died but his dream has come true.

  • Your father is great !!! nice to meet you.

  • Sniff* Sniff* This ending makes me cry! (I'm serious)

  • its so beautiful, I LOVE HONDA. I have a civic, a honda lawnmower and a honda motorcycle

  • Speaking as an outsider, here's a question, what are Honda's long term goals for the general aviation market if the hondajet was a success?

Will they be just create similar bodied jets to challenge the likes of Cessna, or do they have more ambitious goals challenging the dominance of Boeing and Airbus with bigger passenger Aircraft?

  • Well considering the success that Honda has had in the past. I'm sure they have a decent business plan, for lack of a better term.

  • @castroneves,

i do hope honda produces affordable propellers because i am scared to fly planes like the cessna. cessna is better one among american companies, but still, honda is the golden boy of reliability.

i hope they make a prop plane with smooth g-force reduction and pressurized cabin.

  • lmao brazilian boys and japanese boys, fanboys of all sorts. lets keep this simple, if u wanna diss any plane of any make pls do so but prove your worth by buying yourselves the plane you want to prove better than the ones you say is inferior. nothing but all talks

  • Calm down, man! The stuff must be properly tested yet. Remember when Honda entered F1 race team recetly. They promissed leadership in few years time and invested lots of money... but the results are a complete failure. The mechanics and engine are not that bad, but the problem is... aerodinamics! The japanese engineers have not found yet the secrets for tricking the wind in F1 races... do they find it in the new jet? Let's wait further tests before this fanatic "best-best-best" game.

  • Honda can not place 1 st place at F1 racing because there is a political problems. Did you know that???

  • What an excuse! You can always justify a failure by political problems. Thats ridiculous! What would Honda say to the jets potential buyers? "In case we don't have political problems, HondaJet will be a good choice. Otherwise, it will be a failure!" Honda invested lots of money in F1 for years and the experience was a complete failure. The reason was a bad car. The first team of Honda's engineers worked in the project and they could not solve complex aerodynamics problems. Simple like that!

  • you are WRONG they were doing well in the 80swith the turbo charge engine their driver was Nelson Piquet do some research for god sake

  • embraer is the 3rd bigest aircraft company in the world..phenom 100 has already more than 400 units sold..its better.

    brazilian proud

  • Embraer phenom has almost 900 units sold my friend! the best jet in Robb Report magazine.

  • honda makes the most reliable vehicles on the road and im sure the jet is good to, very nice design :)

  • honda crazy factory and technology

    yeah,fuck germany

  • YEAH !! lol

Where is BMW the so-called best engineer of the world . far..on the ground! ha ha ha

HONDA built the best engines and the best machines ! MASTER HONDA .

This plane is a great symbolic, Honda san has always DREAM to fly ...RIP creator.

    The wings of victory.

  • Honda to be quite honest has some of THE smartest minds in the world powering their R&D department.

  • What is that long-stick-thing attached to the nose?

  • Pitot tube to tell airspeed, and gives presser to other gauges to help them function.

  • amazing job for the engineers of honda

  • Jenson has got one, 3.500.000 $

The most energy saver of his category, the most lighter, the most isolated of the engine sound, most ratio weight power (essential) and very fast, mach 0.66!

the prop run to over 100.000 RPM...

HONDA at work with the friction fo material.

HONDA in front of the rest of the world.

  • Honda is honda, great

  • Yeah man, just great !

  • I love this music... what is it? pls help me hkpai!

  • things to buy:

500 HA Mansion with 500m Runway

    Honda Jet

  • Its greatest selling point is going to be its fuel efficiency. Slightly smaller overall than the Cessna CJ1+, the HondaJet cruises 10 percent faster, has a cabin that is 30 percent larger, and has a range about 40 percent greater on about 14 per
