  • vasoline is a AWESOME piece of... of GOO

  • I did it. They look fantastic!

  • If you put vaseline or chapstick around the edges of your nails, it comes off a lot quicker.

  • you should talk more in the video

  • it would help if you spoke

  • deadmau5 is awesome

  • None of my nail polishes spread!!!

  • nice song choice :D

  • the nail polish i use doesnt spread any tips

  • @MsChlobo12 thats probably because your r using old nail polish and its clumping or separating-try shaking it up before opening it. if that doesnt work you could get new polish.

  • wow awesome so doing this but different colours

  • That's freakin cool !

  • how long does this take to dry?

  • whenever i finidh i get a weird film over the water thatwont come off

  • YESH I HAVE MASTERED THE TECHNIQUE!!!

    fuck.yea.

  • but why when i put the second nail polish in it just stops the cucle

  • she makes it look easy. everytime i do that the nail polish just dries up.

  • btw luv this song! :)

  • when ever i try this the polish never spreads!! whyyy???

  • @SkittleDoggy i think because they are starting to clump... the once I used and didn't spread were old ... super old

  • @SkittleDoggy Use purified or filtered water

  • @SkittleDoggy yours is probably a bit old and too thick.

  • @SkittleDoggy it only works with new polish

  • @SkittleDoggy

don't drop the nail polish too close to the water :)

  • @SkittleDoggy you should use filtered water..it works the best. (:

  • use a smaller dish/bowl/container. you use less polish and dont have to mix the colours as much. i find the more you mix them the more messy and crap it looks.

  • Do you have to put a drop of nail polish for each nail individually?

  • I'm definitely trying this =)

  • #1 thanks for this! ITS DOPE and #2 I LOVE YOU FOR USING KASKADE!<3

  • do you need to put a base colour on for this to work?

  • What song is it?

  • @muuzikamuzz Deadmau5: I remember ft Kaskade~ :3 i LOVE this song lol >w<

  • Wow thats freaky!! love it

  • My nales turned out sooo cool! i love this!

  • @CharleeAndJ9x i have the same question too LOL

  • I think you should watch SimpleLittlePLeasures seriously

  • Maybe I missed it, but what IS Step 1? You don't show it.

  • mine always fails :(

  • ok im trying to do the nails right now but the 2nd drop i put in the water doesnt spread out like its suppose too .. what am i doing wrong here

  • does it work on short nails?

  • I SO AM GOING TO TRY THIS my nailes are a little bit longer than yors will it still work?

  • when i tried to move the colors it got stuck to the stick thingy

  • when i try to do it, sometimes the nail polish just drops down to the bottom of the bowl. nd then, when i try to drag lines into the nailpolish, the outside layer just sticks to the toothpick and pulls the rest up with it.

  • who ever made this how do you marble fatlip

  • can you do more than one nail at a time?

  • @InOverMyHead97 yes, you can do two. That's how I do it, you just have to be careful. :)

  • that was fun to watch, thanx.

  • I can't wait to try this!

The other day I did the 'newspaper text' thing, and I was thrilled.

Today I got 'ink spatter' crackle by sally hansen and just did that- so I think I'll wait a couple of days to do this, but I am so so SO excited to try it!

(Oh, I heard that warm tap water works better?)

And someone else said it, and I will, too.

    You're very pretty!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!

  • this is cool

  • this sucks

  • was that water u were using or acetone or nail polish remover?

  • do u hav to startover with each nail??? plz reply! SOMEONE

  • @soccerlover059 yes you have to do the polish target all over for each nail

  • Your very pretty

  • I failed.

  • OMG! there has to be an easier way! lol

  • @CatalinaXHeartcore what i just did was put spots straight on my nails then do the toothpick bit SO much quicker and easier :)

  • @SophiiRocksSocks I actually tried the water marbling way and it was easy peasy! couldnt believe it!

  • I can't get the nail polish to spread in the water???

  • Love it!!! This is such a clear video on how to marble ... Great job. I heard that its better to use filtered water lie bottle, is this true ?

  • Thanks!

  • i tride this but it didnt work nothing moved

  • Thanks a lot for this video! All the other videos aren't so clear

  • hey, will it dry when you are done painting your nails?

  • hey thats really fantastic... u have shown all the steps clearly...

  • is that water

  • do you have to put on white or silver before you dip your nails??

  • love the video and the song. Whats the title of the song?

  • I love this technique but it wastes so much polish if you use a big container and only dip one nail at once

  • wooow cooll.:) i got nail polish but it takes a long time to make it spread..:(

by the way i love the song by deadmau5 I REMEBER [[deadmau5 fan]] :D

  • this is interesting! Looks simple and the nails look great!

  • how do you make the nail varnish speard so quickly , bec when i do it , it takes long to spread ...

  • @jitaon I think this video is sped up so it looks faster lol

  • how do you make the nail varnish speard so quickly , bec when i do it , it takes long to spread ...

  • ok how to you prevent it from hardening (not legit hardening but u know what i mean!) cuz i cant move it around as well as u

  • Your lucky, you have nails that grow over your fingers.. :(

  • can i just use water????!?

  • Whats the song you used?

  • nice song choice

  • what kind of polish to use ..because i try it and it didn't work at all the polish wouldn't move are anything..so help please/....

  • what kind of polish to use ..because i try it and it didn't work at all the polish wouldn't move are anything..so help please/....

  • @05dljay Any polish will work. Some brands have richer colors but really it's your preference. You can even experiment with "mood polish" that changes colors based on temperature (so if your nail is long, the tips of the nails not in contact with your skin will be a different color).

  • @carennas I've used INGLOT's nail polish, and it just made some drops of polish in the water and they fell on the bottom of my cup D:

  • @carennas Actually, Some polishes aren't as Runny as others, OPI is one good brand to Water Marble Nail art with, And if you've ever heard of Confetti, Then Yep.

  • @05dljay I had this problem too. Using room temp filtered or bottled water made the difference for me. My polish just would not spread in my tap water.

  • @05dljay nail polishes with glitter in them or metallic textures don't usually work. Use nail polishes with a more thick consistency, and make sure it's plain. Hope I helped ^^

  • Well its somthing else you can use instead of nail polish remover and tape its vaseline you just put it around your finger -DONT NOT PUT IT ON NAIL JUST AROUND YOUR FINGER- and when you dip you finger in and take in out get a toothpick or butter knife it dont matter and just scrape off the vaseline then your done :)

  • @NailCrazedd I heard of that from one of the previous comments but I've yet to try it. I've been practicing with jewels and dangling nail jewelry:)

  • @NailCrazedd thanks that will be helpful

  • what water is it

  • @Rainbow5010 Just regular tap water.

  • @carennas oh i thought it was room temp water

  • @Rainbow5010 COLD water

  • WOW that was insaneeeee

    Lovee it!!!

I have to go try it now :)

  • this is iiiinsaaaaane. thanks so much for posting this.

  • @peacebone2010 Oh you're welcome:) You should check out the other nail vids on here! There's even some "aquarium" nails! RIDICULOUS!

  • ouaou ! cool!

  • When i attempted this my whole hands went purple.

  • @Shortieeoxox Did you stick your entire hand in the water? Only the end of your finger/thumb needs to go in until the nail is submerged.

  • I dont know why but this doesnt seem to work with my nail polishes! I do exactly what it says and it comes out as a big blob of nail polish that looks really bad!. Im seeking help with this :) thanks x

  • @olciademoncia and mine nail polishes are not working in this! what can i do? :'(

  • Can I use Revlon Top Speed for this tutorial? It dries within 60 seconds so I'm wondering if you can or not.

  • @nogames1212 Not sure, never tried it. Experiment:)

  • I Want to paint all kinds of things like that

  • nice...

  • i love this song <3

    ^.~

  • holy shyt!! i thot u were JWOW for a sec, nice tutorial and nails!!

  • @BulletzArmyCo lol thanks? I've been called Tila Tequila before too but that was when my hair was long.. Pretty scary story because someone on the street just shouted it out and pointed at me.. I kept walking with a weird look on my face:p

  • love it! i've never heard of this before and i'm pretty excited about trying this out sometime

  • Awesome

  • when i put the nail polish in it didnt expand/spread out :/

  • @jessiewong111 Use a thinner polish (more liquidy). If all you have is thick polishes, try adding a few drops at most to a bottle and shake it really well. If it ends up being too much nail polish remover and not enough nail polish, just buy a new bottle.

  • what kind of water is it normal water??????tnx n nice vedio.

  • @lapajapa Just normal tap water is all.

  • WOw nice job...:D

  • @Gods00Child Thanks:)

  • did u add water to the nail polish or somethin?

  • @trinityisthebomb2000 Nope! If you need to dilute your nail polish because it's too thick to spread evenly, try adding a very small amount of nail polish remover to your bottle. If it becomes too thinned in the long run then just buy new polish.

  • how many times do you have to repeat the drops of nailpolish to make the bullseye?

i watched this video and u did it 4 or 5 times but then i watched another video and she did it like 7 times. plz help i relly wanna try this desine!!!!!!!!

  • @trinityisthebomb2000 It's really your own discretion. Some people want more lines, others want subtle marbles. Make it your own:)

  • omg! thats amazing im gonna try this right now

  • @trinityisthebomb2000 Go for it:D I think it'd be cool to see more people with marble nails! Unfortunately it hasn't really hit where I live yet, but on the other hand everyone still thinks I get my nails done professionally:p

  • @carennas thx for all ur help its really awesome :D

  • this is cool

  • When I tried this my drops of nails polish just sunk to the bottom of the bowl?? I tried room temp AND hot water? Should I add an oil or something? What's the trick??

  • @AMRiYcad It doesn't need oil. Try dropping it from a closer distance. If you could see those little nail polish blobs on the bottom of my bucket, it was because i dropped it from too high or too much at once and it just sank. Keep practicing:)

  • @carennas Thanks.

  • thanks :)

  • i like your song

  • use tape it helps !!

  • @cooky21o I tried tape once but it was too difficult to get the tape off without it scraping the polish off. I'll need to keep practicing that method to find a way to keep my polish intact. Any hints?

  • can´t you dip several nails at once???? I think it takes too much nail polish and time for each nail!

  • @AndPeriwinkle Oh definitely! That's what I do whenever I'm in a rush. You probably won't get the specific design you want but it'll still match. Some nails require however that you do one nail at a time. One method I tinkered with is once you put your first nail in, use the stick to gently separate the polish still on the water from your finger and remove your finger without distorting the polish image, and just going from there with the design still intact ready for another nail.

  • @AndPeriwinkle I do 2 when I do it. You have to be careful though to find spots that are 2 good patterns. Sometimes when I do more than 1 finger I have to redo one because the pattern just isnt swirled enough there or something

  • @AndPeriwinkle to add to that, I use a dixie cup so it takes less polish to fill the cup for a pattern

  • everyone put's tape around their nails so that it wont get on your skin but you do it the hard way!

  • @VZBS I know:'O I made this video when marble nails were still new to me. Unfortunately my computer died a few months ago so I haven't been able to make any recent nail vids. I discovered this nail polish that changes according to temperature as well as easier ways to do nail art among other things I've been dying to make a tutorial vid about... One day when I get a new computer I suppose.

  • @RaawrYagami Try warmer water perhaps or newer nail polish (less thick ones). Lots of my polishes stayed in a blob or even sank but you just need to keep trying and using different ones and figure out what the differences are such as consistency, water temp, and so on. It took me over half an hour to figure out why it wasn't working for me:p

  • is it cold water that you are using ?

  • @Jessalicious100 Just room temperature.

  • This is a bad ass way to do marble nails! I love it~!

  • what school do u go to

  • @superbubbles408 I went to J.H. Bruns. Why do you ask?

  • what do you put in the water?????????

  • @CollegeGirlsRock Nail polish:p

  • i really dont understand how you dont move the first colour when you pull the other colours! Do you just drag over the surface and not put your toothpick IN to the water? Please explain this to me cause I can't get it right.

  • @rockxlegend That was what I used the yellow for during the first drop because I was having that problem for over half an hour when the first colour would stick and ruin the whole thing! I leave the first layer because it's already dry by the time I start on designs.

  • is that water?

  • I just use fake nails

  • nice technique, I'll have to show this to one of my friends who's crazy about doing her nails. oh and you're cute too ;p

  • I just bought some nyc and opi nailpolishes, they're both not very thing or anything, but they turn into little balls when i drop then in the water... any idea why?

  • I'm not sure what Im doing wrong, but the nail polishes I've used, every time I drop it into the water, it truns into this little ball, it doesnt spread.

Any clue what i'm doing wrong?

  • How do you not destroy one hand while doing the other? Cause I can't do my dominant hand =(

  • @TishDahFish Practice practice practice!! First just try practicing on inanimate objects but using your left hand as though you were doing the nails on your right hand. Or you could practice on your thumb nail since it's the largest (it's the nail I practice on when doing pictures or designs). You can do everything with your dominant hand until you need to actually put your finger in the water. Try anchoring your left hand to your right by putting your wrists together too for more stability:)

  • Any tips on which brands to use (I live in Ireland so I can't get Wet'n'Wild and NYX!)?

  • @xoxellevexox I'm not too sure which brands you have out there. A good tip though is that it doesn't always have to be the expensive brands because Wet 'n Wild here is a cheap brand often used primarily by younger girls since it's less expensive. As long as the color isn't normally too diluted or faint on your nail and isn't too thick then it should work just fine.

  • @carennas Thank you!!!

  • So they work??

  • @slimlilly Yep! Hence the video:p

  • @carennas Okay yah...I tried..it kinda worked but what if I try to make a design but I can't can you explain to me a little better about how to?

  • @slimlilly I could if I had a better understanding of what type of design you were trying to make. For now, I suggest you just keep experimenting with the directions you drag the polish in or view other marble nail tutorial vids because some of the other ones are pretty fascinating!

  • how many colours can you use???? (like is over 5 colours too much???) :O BTW... ♥ UR NAIL TUTORIAL! :D

  • @Roxyy1995 You can use as many colours as you want! Be as creative as you want with your own nails:)

  • I love nail water marbling. I like your designs as much as mine. ;) Very pretty colors you used here.

  • @javajunkie101 Thank you! Once I get a new laptop to record more videos on, I'll make more tutorials. I'm also really good at free hand french nailing with multiple layers or drawing a bee on the ring finger.. I've even started piercing the left ring finger for dangling nail jewelry and blinging the heck out of that nail:p

  • looks so easy, but my nailpolish don't spread as fast as yours or not at all?

  • @rikkejh If your nail polish isn't spreading then try buying some new nail polish or a more liquidy nail polish. I've noticed that thicker ones are slower to spread or don't spread at all and those ones have all been my older nail polishes:(
