  • Dang! You play real good! I just have to ask you: are you in a band?

  • Very nice Kevin Moore approach but still lacking sonic power.

  • That's a nice keyboard don't play cheesy $10 sounds you can get off a M50

  • Is this the Gandakf JD 800 in person?

  • Fuck, I want a synth so badly haha.

  • Nice, very nice. But you are forgetting two crucial elements that are necessary to be a prog keyboardist: a mellotron, and a Hammond organ. Might be something to look into...

  • Nice playing! Great sound!

  • Wow...it's you who got the white JD-800 made at customsynth. It's cool :o) Great playing btw

  • Is that 'Gandalf the grey' in action !? NICE !

  • fucking epic mate. id have you in my band

  • Sick

  • Ahhh! I miss my JD, most awsome synth of its time, sold all my outboard to go DAW!

That was some masterful playing, maybe a go on the nail clippers first wouldn't go a miss...but otherwise EXCELLENT!!!

  • you'd make any classically trained piano player cringe in that chair with that hand motion ... good job tho

  • Too little epic speed, too much fats wallers on ecstasy.

You're good but you need to show it more often ^^

  • I believe this is the "jump" patch

  • What was achieved, by the previous comment, he let 45% of his brain cells spew out of his mouth . What a world, what a world ,what a world..! I love your work . Great keyboard playing and I like that girl who snores with the melodica in her mouth . The lickin dog is gross . Also the Taurus review was cool .Sounds gooood. Pay me six bucks, Russ .

  • beautiful!

  • wonderful track wel done

    thumbs up for you

  • sux

  • Ooooh....floppppiieeeesss!!

That supersaw zaptron patch sounds just like the Van Halen "Jump" patch.

    Great playing as always!!

  • favourite+5***** - continue bro!!

  • you rock Dave

  • Awsome playin!!

  • Hey Hamsterdunce...

Great work but my major question is, where did you get this white JD 800 from. Is it selfmade or did this a company for you? I've seen another vid from you where you use a standard grey coloured JD.

    Kind regards

  • dude. dont u mean floppy dicks?

  • @audiomedien He said on his site it is a custom made chassis

  • verry nice piece of music thanks

  • damn this is pretty good

  • awesome!

  • That was bad ass. Seriously, that was sweet. Also, wtf floppy disks? I know they have uses but I haven't seen one of those animals in awhile and I see your flock. Very nice piece.

  • I still use floppys

    Tim.

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • sick

  • You are a sexy man Dave, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • it was hard to get here.. can you play a life saving tune?? help..

  • Cool song

  • Yes This is EPIC!

    Nice choice of chords!

5:03 Hey you borrowed that from the devil went down to Jupiter solo...Nice

Last two chords The end ware great!

    5*!

  • Woah, great job!

  • fucking epic!

  • dope!

  • Sorry, but did he touch any of the black keys?

  • from 3:40 onwards.

  • Your right jengamaster345. Sorry for being impatient.

  • Yes, but his fingers were moving do fast that you didn't see it! LOL

  • No. Its called playing in the key. ;-) In this case- the key of C

  • looks more like hes playing a D, dorian if im not mistaken, and i most likely am. lol

i dont remember which D has all notes in common with C major, but it does look like hes playing a D the whole first part of the song on his left hand.

  • D dorian is C major..... but I'm a guitar player, meaning I'm apt to not know anything ;)

  • This is Rolands best syth to date and I own a Fantom EX and a V-Synth GT.

  • Comment removed

  • bringin out gandalf, eh?

  • haha, just think about gandalf raving to this, lmao

  • that white synth is a custom synth with a name. It's name is gandalf, because it went from grey to white. Look on daves website.

  • oh, i see......but still imagin him dancing to this, lmao.

  • That's a real good one, love the playing..

  • This is amazing!!!!!!

  • do have a Moog shirt on?

  • Glad to see you back! This is awesome, will there be a new album anytime soon? 5/5

  • You are the mutts nuts for arpeggiations and scales, apart from when your hand tires.....but full marks.....great to see prog rock at it`s finest!

  • Man,great playing as always...backing track is weak....sorry.

  • Should have played it on an Axis 64 like in that one video you put up.

PS. Still love Sci-Fi guys, lol

  • Sounds like Animusic to me. Love it!

  • Sorry, I commented halfway through the video. Now that I've watched the whole thing, awesome doesn't describe it. It's more like BRAIN MELTING EPIC!

  • AWESOME!! I loved it!

  • What was achieved, I wonder, but letting 47% of the music get butchered by that poor recording. The skill is, no doubt, remarkable... but so much of the soul was lost. Next say what you have to say, and at least connect that damn mixer directly to your computer. Thanks.

  • Sounds good. Pay me five bucks.

  • How about a 2 dollar Subway Gift Card?

I laughed when someone gave it to me.

a 2 dollar gift card? That's more like a cupon at Subway.

Ah well, guess i can get a bag of chips.

  • but the sound of the keys clackings adds so much character!

  • @poorinreign Sounds fine to me outside of the clickingt but that never bothers me.

  • LOL, wedding ring

  • LOL, married

  • LOL, ball & chain

  • LOL,doomed

  • That was awesome dude! My brain almost exploded!

  • Good luck getting that job, you need some analog in that studio. :)

  • Great, nice playing.

  • You've inspired me yet again, to work harder at my keyboard work. Thank you.

  • Blimey, looks like you've speeded up the film, your hands move so fast!

Not sure about the white paint-job on the JD800, maybe blue or red like on the SH101's would have been nicer??

    Cheers for posting!

  • Great stuff, loved the last two minutes or so.

  • Sick, I always dig your work man. Brilliant stuff.

  • who said 62 keys are not enough to make excellent music?

  • awesome playing once again man, nice floppys btw!

  • great

  • AWESOME!!

  • If your kind of awesome were a soft drink, I would shake it and spray it on people's faces.

  • also, was the riff beginning at 5:03 the same one used in Devil Went Down to Jupiter?

  • Good call! That solo was "borrowed" from this tune. I actually wrote most of this in 1992...

  • nice. you make some of the greatest stuff i've ever heard man.

  • orgasmic as always

  • I LOVE THIS SHIT

  • jd-800's ftw! :D

  • you should write some straight piano stuff. i mean this is cool but it would be nice to see how you play on a piano.

  • It should be brutally obvious to all by now, but I suck complete crap on actual pianos.

  • i dont think so man. i really think you could come up with something pretty cool on a piano.

  • Hearing the acoustics of the instruments being used adds a lot sometimes. Lovethe sound of it, and what a beautiful sight the JD800 is in white.

  • You're back! My life was seriously lacking some waveform wankery lately. Great job!

  • "Keyboard and additional percussion by Slammy Slam Fingers Sam!"

Just Kidding! Overall it's a lot of fun! I like the backing tracks too. But it is really nice to see you actually "slamming" the keys! You're very profficient! It's a nice composition! Be well.

    Peace,

    \A/

  • that was epic and then some 5

  • awesome one !
