Eggman playable in Sonic Chronicles

Actually, the current canon is that his name is Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik, with 'Eggman' being the nickname.

No matter where you are now, both 'Eggman' and 'Robotnik' are equally correct.

While it might be old. Dr. Eggman wasn't the Final Character, Shade was. Plus, he leaves afterwards so it's not a Full Playable. Just a Minor Playable.

eggman sucks to play as...his abilities...well...one requires tails and can be an instant kill.....to robots only....and his other ability is the only other one he has....AND(im not done) he has NO MOVEMENT ABILITIES!! i wouldve expected fly since he has that little ship but hes useless!!! i dont find him useful at all!!!

Honestly does it really matter. When they had to combine the series realizing that localization was pointless, they made Robotnik his real name, but Eggman is his nickname. Both names are official.

Well, I was kind of hoping for someone like Blaze or even Silver, but what the heck I'll take it! I've kind of noticed that Eggman keeps getting depicted as less and less evil as time goes on. Eggman's always had a nicer side to him, and it's developing over time. That's what they call character development.

I guess you're right. Back in the early 90's, Robotnik used to always say things like "I hate that hedgehog!", But in more recent games like SA2, Eggman goes as far as calling Sonic an admirable adversary, and even shows a bit of respect for Tails for his machines. In SatAM, Robotnik would round up all the Mobians and roboticize them, like some sort of SEGA Hitler, in Sonic X, Eggman eventually grows to like the main character Chris and sees him as an ally, despite his friendship with Sonic!

Well, keep in mind the cartoon versions aren't canon to the games. In the games, he's never been a heartless maniac like in some of the cartoons and comics.

Bioware has stated that Eggman is going to be "more credible bad guy again", so I don't think he's jumped to the good side. I'm guessing it's just a temporary truce to destroy competition, so he can conquer world himself.
