  • we are waiting for our second child!!its a girl!!!i dedicate it to her....

    save the childrens!!!!cheers to all!!

  • 3:10 is the cutest kid i've ever seen

  • Hey kids, you are far out. I believe in the younger generation.

  • why wish man? lets make it happen world wide. From calgary. love man.

  • I'm 23 years old sometimes I wish i was 70 though cuz I coulda been here or at least lived in the time with best music ever but at least I got get a tiny tiny taste with stuff like this

  • All of you who weren't born durning this time just don't have a clue. These were the best of times for all of us except for the soldiers in Vietnam. When John was singing this song we loved our kids, not beating them and killing them like you idiots do today! What has happened to this generation? What happened to loving your family and putting them first? The world is slowly coming to an end because our kids have no common sense or love for family.

  • Crazy realizing that newborn kid is now 42 years old... Man, what happens to time?

  • Peace and love to all the world!

  • I would kill to be there

  • he is the face of flowerpower, the face of Woodstock, the face of peace.

Just listen to him and feel flowerpower, Woodstock and peace.

Smoke a joint, some pot or gras, and just feel free and good.

    Peace

  • im waiting for the day when people like katy perry and justin timberlake will get onto stage that stoned

  • @WesleyRattner Why? They would still suck.. We can only hope that a future generation will somehow bring back the feel of this one..

  • 1969 the concept of a video phone was not that far fetched we had landed on the moon that year after all they just didn't have technology to make them fit in your hand...art imitates life

  • video phone?? psychic from hallucinogens?

  • dig it

  • This is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! Far Out Man!

  • Im tripping out my Dad was a child in woodstock

  • yah man no FUCK UPS!!!!!!!!!!! yah chips baby is so far out!!!!!!!!! woodstock 69 is epic!

  • It probably was priceless. As I wrote when I saw him last year (May 2010 at the Montpelier Arts Centerin Laurel Maryland) he said he didn't sing it anymore. But any of John's performances are priceless, imo.

  • I just saw John at Hudson River Clearwater Revival 2011 on Father's Day, and he sang this song. It was priceless.

  • I saw John in concert last year. Someone in the audience asked if he could sing this song. And. He said he doesn't sing it anymore because "it's BULL!" (Direct quote from John). He said that after he had children and knowing what he knows about parenthood, he can't sing this song anymore in good conscious.

Hey, at least he's honest and not some poser like others.

  • HES SO HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but the song is good

  • wow i want sum of what he had for real

  • I was born in the wrong generation >:|

  • @SarahSwag *sob sob* me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He is so great !

  • I love this song and video and i'm from the 90's

  • fuck the 2000 younger generation who just listen crap... Let's smoke a joint and listen the john worlds

  • We have to fight! Revolution is not over! Hippies were so powerfull becouse their tools are Love, understanding and freedom.

  • @GothElven

They lost the culture wars, they lacked focus they where generally not analytical and there image was not some thing most people would feel comfortable projecting onto them selves. They had a good spirit but the many baubles they attached to there life style and ideology made it impossible for there message to be accepted and put into practice overall. That is my impression at least but I have no idea what happened back in the sixties I am 20 and am not a modern history buff.

  • @antonyneal ;-)!!!!!

  • All these babies are now 40! I was there, & I'm STILL laffin at grownups!

  • i wish i was a woodstock baby. or chip's baby :D

  • sweeeeet i love this

  • Oh and by the by, did I mention he wasn't quite, white? Yes, those damned Hippie losers, certainly efft up his little world! A posse ad esse. :o)o:

  • @crockyoshighty yea u get a lot of those nowadays........

  • I was listening to a 16 year old boy on telly a while ago talking about Hippies being a bunch of losers. The thing that struck me beyond his myriad of other facile remarks was, he wore jewelry, had a pierced ear resplendent with sparkling diamond, lose unbuttoned shirt and as a Pièce de résistance, shoulder length hair.

  • @Samisnorris the 2000s are the machine times....we are all machines of this system....the age of the masters of wars....the army is the cheapest drug there is, it tells you beautiful things but at the end you will die n destroy many other lives......

  • I Love this song. It's gorgeous and wonderful. Dude I want a Woodstock like this all over again. I would be there and just chill with everybody. This makes me just wish like mad I could have been alive back then. This song is so moving. I Love this! John Sebatian is the shit! I Love him!

  • deep, man.

  • Weed capital of the all time.

  • this is my favorite song by him

  • John Sebastian... our eyes on an ear and everybody's brother.

Thanks for being there Man... 'when they weren't selling no papers on the streets... and we didn't have to be afraid.'

  • No its not true because were doing it..right on man

  • This is really a mind fucker of all time man.........

  • What ever happened to Chip is dead???

  • "hey pop my girlfriends only three and shes got a video phone and's doin lsd" love that line

  • @mercyless00

What part of the video does he say that? I cant find it

  • near the end

  • favourite song from woodstock

  • Oh man this Is awesome :D hahaha!! "my man chip.....man...hes doing so well man" I love his optimistic attitude...." this is gonna work" a true hippie :)

  • wow dude you fucking act like they control who goes to woodstock.......there were a shit load of black people bro unless you want to take the time picking them out of 400,000 people

  • Watch the movie you will find you are wrong.

  • There were in fact MANY black people.

  • My generation too. We stopped the Vietnam War.

  • the biggest hippie sissy at Woodstock...bless him

  • jesus this guy is baked

  • lmao ..yep!!

  • Yeah... he wasn't even supposed to perform! They pulled him out of the audience because they had no one to play, and at the time, he was peaking on acid! It's hard to believe (considering how great his set was) it, but it's true!

  • Just got a Woodstock book for Christmas and that was in it. Never knew that

  • It's the way to live. :D

  • My generation! I'm an old fuck right now...but those were the best times of my life!

  • at least you got best times..we don't. :-\

  • Well come on man, you've got to be around 60, you've seen a lot of shit go down! Be happy with those memories.

  • Wow this is such a beautiful, meaningful song.

Does he forget the lyrics half way? It only gives it a bit of a "head" feel to the song, it always happens to me, too, when I'm high!

  • not only that the song is kinda true, listen to some of the shit he says. "Video phone."

  • I watched this movie yesterday with subtitles, and he says bitty a phone. Who knows i thought it was always viedo phone.

  • FUCK THOSE SUBTITLES

  • Ya i know what you mean.

  • @shakedownstreet48

Hey Shake, My mate played this to us back around 1971. We'd always heard "videophone".

Who knows but I think you/we were right.

    Regards R.M.

  • @niggabartlebee Predicting the future!

  • BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL SONG.

  • i dont understand, there are 2 vids of him doin 2 songs, at the end of both songs he says his goodbyes and leaves?! does he come back to do another that he didnt know about?!!!!!

  • Hi. I know you asked you question abou this video 3 months ago but wanted to answer anyway. He says "goodbye" after each song because he didnt know how many songs he was going to do. He wasnt even scheduled to perform. They just kept sending him out there as a time filler til they got some electrical problems fixed.

  • He wasn't even supposed to perform. They asked him to do a 15 minute acoustic set while they swept water off of the stage so the electric bands didn't get electrocuted. Don't know why this song STILL isn't on the soundtrack CDs (even the supposedly "complete" Woodstock soundtrack that came out a few years back). Saw him live at a Don Kirshner Rock Concert taping and ducked outside as soon as he went off stage. Hung out by the stage door and met him when he came out. A true gentleman.

  • I love this song so much, it just totally reminds me of my own father and how this was his generation and how he tried to instill some of the same beliefs in me.

  • one of the best songs at woodstock '69

  • great speech^^
