  • Question for anyone who watched alot of British comedy around the time of Comic Strip Presents....or probably a bit later. Does anyone know the name of a (Brit?)comedy series about a guy on a motorbike (American style bike) who rides around and meets strange people. My memory is really vague, but I think it had an Elvis song as a title song and the show had a very off -beat, bleak, existentialistic tone. Would love to see again what I watched as a kid, and only remember vaguely.

  • Thank you so much for uploading the comic strip stuff - thanks :)

  • Thanks for the up - not seen this since the 80s but still know every word! This was without a doubt the best episode of the whole strip. Rick, Ade and Nigel are the funniest guys of my generation. When I moved to Fulham in the early 90s and was in a line in MacDs Hammersmith and all three of them were standing in front of me...I was young and just about managed a very weak hello...Just thought that I would share that sad be of info.

  • oh my God!!! Ade, Rik and Nigel were standing in front of you?! how old were you when that happened? and is MacDs like Mcdonalds? :-)

    MayallFan35

  • Yeah - I was 21 in '91 and MacDs is Mcdonalds! There's always celbs where I live - I nearly ran Al Murray over the other day! He is a funny guy and it would have been a shame to put him on an insurance claim form!

  • man, you are so lucky. so have you run into (not litterally, lol!!!) Rik anymore. :-)i don't know who Al Murray is but thank goodness you didn't hit him. he should have been paying more attention hehehehe.

    MayallFan35

  • The Comic Strip was a bit hit and miss but this is a real classic, every bit as funny and quotable as "Life Of Brian".

  • He get through alot of fairy liquid. One of my all time fav's this is.

  • Thanks for posting this, I was considering buying the entire boxed set of comic strips just for this episode but you've saved me £40, thanks.

As thanks I'll find out what 'Nibushi shang hong' means, I work with Japanese people and yes theres a Mr Yakimoto!

  • Does anyone know what "Nibushi shang hong" means? (i can'd find anything apart from some band from glasgow)

  • omfg, this is my alltime fav film.

mr jukimoto, oh god another french bastard lol

  • Why isn't there anything as good as this on telly amymore?

  • fucking glorious

    arious as this still is.

    thanks for posting this

  • the funniest programme I have ever seen, after 20 years it is still the best. only just made availible on DVD.

  • "Gentlemen, please do you know who this is?"

    "yes it's fatty!"

  • Absolute quality. Anarchic comedy at its best. Rick and Ade cannot be beaten (unless they're doing it to each other..Ooh Err) Quote: "Are you sure there isn't a bar in here?" "Yes." "Then what's that alcohol smell?" "Embalming fluid." "Balmy fluid? Right I'll have some of that then."

  • what exactely is this show about?

    MayallFan35

  • watch it and find out

  • balmy fluid! Right!

  • brilliant piece of work!

  • one of my favorite tv moments of all

  • I agree, thanks, what a legend of a film this is, deserves much more recognition than it gets.

  • Absolutely brilliant!! Thank for posting these.
