I would focus more on the tuning in some spots, which sometimes distracted me from the music.

Performance is pretty good. This is not an easy piece! I agree that the tempo is fine: two version I've heard (Kodaly and one from the 1960s) are both at this tempo.

Well done. Only criticism I have is the passages in the violin starting around 4:00 need some cleaning up. Oh yea, you might want to edit the description to Quartet in D Minor instead of Major too. :D

i think that everyone is entitled to their opinion on performances, but to say things like coydogroy said?!?!?! il agree with you if you can make a better job of it than the quartet can. and this is the tempo that both the alban berg quartet and the kodaly quartet play it at....should they also "not play it at all"?!?!?!

a very nice performance with great musical depth which is lacking only because its not as fast as it should be. The violin 1 delivers a very clean technical performance (big bravo, i did this myself recently and the semiquaver passages are quite nerve racking), only problem i think was that the player started going flat in the recapitulation. overall however, very smoothly done.

These young ladies do a fine job. Haydn's String Quartets are totally underrated. The LONDON-Haydn-The String Quartets-Complete CD-Box Set is the finest recording of his S. Quartets. On a whole, Haydn's S. Quartets are the unsurpassed. Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, etc. do not compare. FJ Haydn is/was the true master of this chamber music.......

Very good! I did this piece for my score reading exercise and looking at the score i could hear all parts as they should have been played...maybe the cello was too quiet at times, but the first violin players tone sounded excellent with an amazing singing tone quality!!!

Just excelent!! the quartet have a excelent sound & colour im playing the same Quartet(im 1st violin) this piece have a very triky passages..the 1st violin do it great! keep working together and keep palying good music.

i have many sheets for string quartets(tangos,clasical,barro­que) just ask maybe i have what u need.. see ya good work ! ;)
