I very much doubt it will have all the circuits from each though, the track count is estimated between 20 and 70. Nascar and WRC alone would be more than what was in GT4.
Just like GT-5 Proloque, YES.. it'll have cockpit view and you are really there, it's not simulated. Reflections, shadows are all real time in the environment. There will also be damage in the full game as well as some other killer features.
BTW... No Racing Simulator in history will come so close as to reality as this game! :D
haha you dumbass..... forza can't touch GT-5 It doesn't have any Ray Tracing or real time shadowing. Everything partially baked (not real time) on the fly shadowing and lighting. If you'd actually raced just GT-5 Prologue you would see the differenc is night n day side by side. CUZ.... I've done it!

Its great theyve built off of GT4(which,Im not quite sure how that could get better,other than more realistic car performance and newer cars,but its a pretty kick ass game anyway)and it has better graphics (which would be hard to do,GT4 is like a movie),but I was disapointed that it only has like 75 cars when GT4 had around 600.That was my only complaint,I just wish GT4 had Firebirds,rarer Muscle cars,and a few rare GM cars,Grand Prixs,Impalas,Supercharged V6 cars,etc...Its a great game though.

We have a 65" HDTV and it's scary with wheel setup. We sometimes just leave the game intro for hours. People come over and we sit them in the Formula Car first off. We can't get 'em out of the house!!! LOLz .....for hours!!!! Yeah it's that great..... ;)
@markster110 Are you using controller or wheel? Automatic or Standard Shift? I personally drive the GTR and always use standard with paddle shifters for those races but the Amuse S2000 is outstanding too! Right now though my whole game revolves around racing the Formula One cars with AI set to 101. Kicking out top lap times on High Speed Ring under 48seconds and still pull over letting all cars pass before obliterating the field. Online there's no competition and I race clean laps. Join me? ;D
Yeah especially the Formula car even though it costs a fortune. Luckily we are able to get Saved Games. But what I do on some really hard races is use the Sixaxis to drive in races that require very quick turns. Otherwise I have Logitech G-25 Wheel! ....updates this summer should add destructibility. This game is simply awesome!!!

WEll think about it, To do car damage its not about the graphics or anything. You need a lisence for a start. And remember its a DRIVING game and not burnout, Your not suppose to ram your car into a wall at 120MPH and go Wow nice car damage.
Better graphics doesn't mean a better game, but it is a nice little treat. I'm looking forward to the enormous car list, the realistic damage, and the supposedly intelligent computer AI most. The vastly improved graphics are just one more thing to drool over ;P (also- I'm exceptionally happy to see the Murciallago in there)
A condensed pre-release of the full game. Limited Tracks and no damage yet. But it has point system online. You bump you loose points and limited in speed for a time as a penalty. If you don't drive with finesse it shows on Driver Ratings. You crash, you're out! Do too much bumping you're out. It's not Bumper Cars. Full Sim. Make a mistake, I pay for it. Sometimes w/a colossal spin out. Looks Million Times better on an HDTV! ...you will stunned by the sense of racing in this game!!! =D

true but most people like the ps3's online community becuase its free where as 360 has a few more features and is a little more developed but... theres a monthly fee. I have PS3 and the online part is still exceptionally well done compared to the 360's.

That can't compare with Gran Turismo. I have Gran Turismo for the PS2 and that game kicks all kinds of ass. GT5 is going to blow all other racing games out of the water.

I agree, plus GT-5 Full will have damage w/real physics. Hit a wall you're out of the race. No ramping over 5000 foot of cars smashing into walls to continue racing with minor damage like other games.
Are you joking? Powerups, ramps, boosts? If you want a racing GAME to plsy, PLAY "Burnout Paradise" on either Xbox 360 or PS3. If you want to know what it's like to really RACE/Drive a particular car on track or street, that's what GT-5 and it's Demo Prologue are for!
Doing some reading about the game, I came across some trivia that Nissan called Polyphony to help them gather some dyno data and whatnot for the new Nissan GT-R. They plugged their data into GT5 and raced it around the tracks and then, did the same in the real car and got near the same numbers regarding how the car handled and what not. Just another point for the realism of the game.
Wow! That's very cool. I've found that when I first started driving Nissan GT-R in Prologue, I didn't like it. It was too hard to drive! Our neighbor bought a Viper and I drove it. SCARY HARD to DRIVE on the street and this game! Got used to driving the GT-R in Prologue and now I LOVE IT! FAST n POWERFUL, just takes some driving "Finesse" to get it through the corners! :D

also there is speculation but yet to be confirmed this is from developers the damage in game will be real as in you hit a wall at 100 mph on gt5 it will do as it would do in a real car this will for sure make endurance races alot more demanding
In game with a wheel two views, bumper and driver cam. It's no longer just an Arcade Game. It's a Sim w/no fake multi view to give anyone an advantage. You are Racing, not faking it w/fake dash overlay. You're in the car w/fully modeled interior. Right, Left, Rear and mirror view(but not w/controller). All other racing games, fake a dash overlay to make you think you're in a car. First Racing Sim to put you inside Live in Game all calculated on the fly in real time 16cars! ;)

Obviously not, because if you did you'd know, not only is GT Series the Top Selling Racing Game in the World w/ 40 Million Games, Multi-billion Dollar sales, but Race Driver Brian Alexander (among others) says it's the Most Realistic Sim in existence!
Yes in replay mode in Prologue, you can switch views while you watch. The camera management is simply awesome and it's going to be even better when full game comes out. I love racing in this game cuz it really doesn't seem like a game anymore! =D
#1Not in Prologue! ..but I think each racing sim or arcade rs has it's benefits along with it's problems. I expected Forsa to be more than it is. The damage is rather pathetic and so what if you can swap out parts and customize them (can do that in NFS games). The in-game sense of reality just isn't there. In GT-5 Prologue, no we don't have damage till the Full game. We can't customize a whole lot either yet!
#2But the experience of being in that particular car whether it's a Ferrari 433 or a Nissan GTR is about as real as it gets. Fully modeled interiors w/dash that's actually in game. Not simply an overlay like a HUD. Meaning all the gauges, mirrors, lighting and shadows are LIVE and respond to your driving and external environment. No faked in blur(if U see blur, it's there at the far edges of vision, like in reality). Nothings fake giving you some unreal sense of speed.
#3When you punch the petal in a turn, you will end up pointed the opposite direction like it or not. Cars handle like the real thing. GT-5's simply not meant for a controller and it shows. The sense of being in an actual car when using a wheel has never felt so connected. Doing it all in 1080P 60fps in a rumble chaired cockpit, 8ft from a 65" HDTV? ..an unequaled experience outside of racing in the REAL THING!
my friend is a GT pro, recently bought xbox360 since GT-HD was not online... hes in love with forza now but will consider trying GT5 on ps3. In my case... Ridge Racer FTW!
So by saying your frustrated with the licenses, you are saying that you suck at a real driving simulator? I got the licenses easily, so I don't see what your problem is. Gran Turismo makes you work to get results, therefore making it similar to the real world and THEREFORE making it a simulation. People buy the game to get an authentic 'simulation', not to race in arcade. If you don't like real life simulations, then why did you buy the game?
next on my ps3 buying list. I own GT2,GT3 and GT4, and never completed a single one, but for simple wow factor of showing people what our consoles can do, Gran tourismo has always been the best

A condensed pre-release of the full game. Limited Tracks and no damage yet. But it has point system online. You bump you loose points and limited in speed for a time as a penalty. If you don't drive with finesse it shows on Driver Ratings. You crash, you're out! Do too much bumping you're out. It's not Bumper Cars. Full Sim. Make a mistake, I pay for it. Sometimes w/a colossal spin out. Looks Million Times better on an HDTV! ...you will stunned by the sense of racing in this game!!! =D

I think you're right. I have Japanese version and many times my name is in the top 10. that will change when more competition comes online on April 15th!

true but most people like the ps3's online community becuase its free where as 360 has a few more features and is a little more developed but... theres a monthly fee. I have PS3 and the online part is still exceptionally well done compared to the 360's.

wut would be insane is, while in the car cam, they should make the hand move from the wheel while the guy shifts the gear. i still remember gt2 that was the best where there was like 400 car this i heard will have like a little over 60! still looks like and awesome game! a definite buy!

That can't compare with Gran Turismo. I have Gran Turismo for the PS2 and that game kicks all kinds of ass. GT5 is going to blow all other racing games out of the water.

I agree, plus GT-5 Full will have damage w/real physics. Hit a wall you're out of the race. No ramping over 5000 foot of cars smashing into walls to continue racing with minor damage like other games.

Are you joking? Powerups, ramps, boosts? If you want a racing GAME to plsy, PLAY "Burnout Paradise" on either Xbox 360 or PS3. If you want to know what it's like to really RACE/Drive a particular car on track or street, that's what GT-5 and it's Demo Prologue are for!

Doing some reading about the game, I came across some trivia that Nissan called Polyphony to help them gather some dyno data and whatnot for the new Nissan GT-R. They plugged their data into GT5 and raced it around the tracks and then, did the same in the real car and got near the same numbers regarding how the car handled and what not. Just another point for the realism of the game.

Wow! That's very cool. I've found that when I first started driving Nissan GT-R in Prologue, I didn't like it. It was too hard to drive! Our neighbor bought a Viper and I drove it. SCARY HARD to DRIVE on the street and this game! Got used to driving the GT-R in Prologue and now I LOVE IT! FAST n POWERFUL, just takes some driving "Finesse" to get it through the corners! :D

also there is speculation but yet to be confirmed this is from developers the damage in game will be real as in you hit a wall at 100 mph on gt5 it will do as it would do in a real car this will for sure make endurance races alot more demanding

In game with a wheel two views, bumper and driver cam. It's no longer just an Arcade Game. It's a Sim w/no fake multi view to give anyone an advantage. You are Racing, not faking it w/fake dash overlay. You're in the car w/fully modeled interior. Right, Left, Rear and mirror view(but not w/controller). All other racing games, fake a dash overlay to make you think you're in a car. First Racing Sim to put you inside Live in Game all calculated on the fly in real time 16cars! ;)

Haha, first game to do this? Come on, real sims have been doing this for years, the Gran Turismo series still has arcade physics and always will.

Hey Fool! Wake up and get your nose out your Xbox or PC's Crack! Do you watch BBC, NBC Sports, Top Gear, or even know any actual Race Driver's names? Obviously not, because if you did you'd know, not only is GT Series the Top Selling Racing Game in the World w/ 40 Million Games, Multi-billion Dollar sales, but Race Driver Brian Alexander (among others) says it's the Most Realistic Sim in existence!

Yes in replay mode in Prologue, you can switch views while you watch. The camera management is simply awesome and it's going to be even better when full game comes out. I love racing in this game cuz it really doesn't seem like a game anymore! =D

#1Not in Prologue! ..but I think each racing sim or arcade rs has it's benefits along with it's problems. I expected Forsa to be more than it is. The damage is rather pathetic and so what if you can swap out parts and customize them (can do that in NFS games). The in-game sense of reality just isn't there. In GT-5 Prologue, no we don't have damage till the Full game. We can't customize a whole lot either yet!

#2But the experience of being in that particular car whether it's a Ferrari 433 or a Nissan GTR is about as real as it gets. Fully modeled interiors w/dash that's actually in game. Not simply an overlay like a HUD. Meaning all the gauges, mirrors, lighting and shadows are LIVE and respond to your driving and external environment. No faked in blur(if U see blur, it's there at the far edges of vision, like in reality). Nothings fake giving you some unreal sense of speed.

#3When you punch the petal in a turn, you will end up pointed the opposite direction like it or not. Cars handle like the real thing. GT-5's simply not meant for a controller and it shows. The sense of being in an actual car when using a wheel has never felt so connected. Doing it all in 1080P 60fps in a rumble chaired cockpit, 8ft from a 65" HDTV? ..an unequaled experience outside of racing in the REAL THING!

So by saying your frustrated with the licenses, you are saying that you suck at a real driving simulator? I got the licenses easily, so I don't see what your problem is. Gran Turismo makes you work to get results, therefore making it similar to the real world and THEREFORE making it a simulation. People buy the game to get an authentic 'simulation', not to race in arcade. If you don't like real life simulations, then why did you buy the game?

And if u've played GT3/4, theyre impossible, im not really one for racing an 800 lap race in A-spec mode in an MX-5.

haha ye i completed 1,2and 3 and in 60% through 4 i see what u mean ive done the 24 hour nurbugrene (or however its spelt) in a-spec and today i picked up number 1 again its actually really short but the graphics are terrible i cant belive we used to think they were good haha why'd they remove it?
