Siitä on niin kauan aikaa, kun olen tuon viimeisen jakson nähnyt, etten muista täysin tarkkaan. Mutta sellainen mielikuva on jäänyt, kuten tuossa toisessakin kommentissa totesin, että loppu on traaginen. Alkuperäisessä kirjassa oli traaginen loppu, samoin elokuvaversioissa. Eli käsittääkseni Jody ampuu Viirin. Tämä tapaus on symbolinen, kuvastaa lapsuuden haaveista luopumista ja astumista aikuisuuden kovaan maailmaan.

This episode for me, and my child mind was too much... I had that feeling for long long time in my heart. I never knew that this serie end like that...so cruel for me... but for me this serie was really special and i'm not sure to see all this again...the last episode.

Actually, just to be clear, this ep 51 isn't the ending episode, but it's the last one I could post here. At the moment I don't have the real ending episode, 52. I'm trying to locate a copy of it though. But you were right, this series has quite a heart-breaking ending, if my memory serves me correctly.

@siberiantigr5 Thanks for say me this, for me the last episode was to much strong for my childhood, i think i don't can see it again, is like Candy, Candy; Marco, ET... When i was young was to much intense of feelings that i wanna enjoy the first time moments and believe that this boy never touch a gun...thanks.

If I remember correctly, it was due to some illness. The fact that he was sick was referenced in several episodes. In the original novel, however, he was also crippled and had no big part in the story.
