I've read part of his manifesto where he gives an account, in detail, of the last months leading up to the terrorist act. He states that he was nearly out of money (resorting to credit cards in July) and time for the landlord of the farm that he was planning from would come back. I think the chronology is unlikely because he made this attack ostensibly coordinated to hit the meeting of the labour party on the island and also the holiday so few people near the gov building would be killed.
