Mam Sailaja, lets not call it "slang" tamil what the first singer spoke. Its a sri-lanka Tamil dialect.

You use the word ("neenga enkae ) poRanthaenga" which is much worser than 'pirantheenka"

However my focus would be the the Tamil languages uses been forgotten and it is in decline....

The ones who had come from other states (like kerala and Andhra,,,) speeks better than those who were born as Tamils in Tamil Nadu.

Ms. Shailaja rightly said about Norway's Sandhya's Tamil speaking. We all Tamils living abroad should learn from her speaking in Tamil and teach our children Tamil.
