  • im curious are you able to split the so they become single coil pickups

  • @knifelover150 Yeah you can although I did not do that on mine.

  • ROLLIN LIKE A NIGHT TRAIN!!!

  • is it worth to buy??

  • Ohhhhhhhhhh,,,Rock it!!! I love les Paul and Guns n Roses ;-)

  • Hell Yeah! Duncan's Awsome! I got Cheap china Single coil's, And can make it sound like Heaven.

  • Great sounds. The rule screws should go to the outside.

  • hi there, does it matter which way round the pickups go in color wise? when i had them installed they had it so it was black, white, white.black, so i decide to change it round so it was black white black white like slash's and yours. will that be ok to do?

  • @SHUPADUM I don't know if it matters. I just put them in the way the instructions told me to.

  • @fenderboy08 ah ok then :)

  • @fenderboy08 Yes it does, you can't put the pickup in backwards, but you can put a neck pickup in a bridge rout and vice versa. It'll give you some interesting tones

  • @fenderboy08 Hey, just curious what it's like installing them in place? Is it just a matter of soldering the wires together ect..? Sounds great, can't wait til I get mine in the mail!

  • @drfeelgoodTO Sorry for the late reply. Haven't been on here in a while. Yeah its just soldering and screwing them into place. If you are semi familiar with electronics an wiring this will not be hard.

  • @SHUPADUM normally on the bridge pickup the bolted side is looking to bridge and on the neck pickup the bolted side looks to the neck. But actually it is all to your taste. Why dont you try which sound you will like.

  • @cikicrocus ahh i see. will try some variations :) thanks!

  • @SHUPADUM :O It should put it out of phase then and give a differnt sound... Well, it will for sure give you a differnt sound. The ones in the video seem to be pre-made for the combination.

  • @bvried well i changed them round the day i first had them back, so.. im sure it wont matter that much?

  • @SHUPADUM :/ what? If you are saying that you switched them back to the normal factory configuration then nothing should be wrong. :)

  • @bvried yeah i switched them so it was like they are in the instructions, sot he screws in the pickups are facing the bridge and the neck! :)

  • @SHUPADUM Cool! You must be good at soldering- or did you just flip them without it? :) Anyways, I have a set of alnico 2 pros (not slash model) in one of my guitars and they sound great! :)

  • @bvried yeah i just flipped them round without undoing them. and yeah they do sound great! improved my epiphone loads!! :)

  • i know were all focused on the sound but your actually a really good guitarist

  • will these pickups work on a guitar with a 5 way pickup selector?

  • Why does everyone with A2P's always play GNR songs? Ha ha!

  • @homersimps1 These are the slash model pickups. Thanks

  • @fenderboy08 you could of got a bit better tone and saved money with regular alnico pro II's .. slash has only started using his sig pickups during his new solo album.. I believe .. other then that , all his older stuff with GNR .. was done using a set of reg alnico pro II's

  • @homersimps1

    and it's always nightrain...

  • @homersimps1 Im with this guys.... I was just thinking that... Maybe people want the pickups because they want a good warm 80's crunch tone...

  • @homersimps1 The same reason Everyone with Burns Tri-sonics plays Queen songs... I love Queen and Brian May but it would be great to hear them in another context

  • Is your guitar a plus top or plain top. And would you know what slash uses when he plays his cherry burst?

  • Hey guys,

I decided to make a little project out of the guitar in this video. I basically gave it an aged look on those awesome custom shops that come out of the Gibson custom plant. I always wanted an aged guitar but I dont want to spend the money so I decided to experiment on my Epiphone Les paul. I will be posting a video of it soon!

  • @fenderboy08 Please play it!!

  • i got the same pickups.. but my guitar i was gonna put them in is broke.. so i ordered the part.. lol its gonna take 2 weeks.. plus another 2 to 3 more weeks to get them in.. so maybe next year ill have them in lol feel like it anyways

  • Whats the difference between pickups that have covers versus no covers?

  • @GibsonSg1275 no covers tend to be brighter in sound and in my opinion they look better too

  • @fenderboy08 so you like them with no covers? lol sorry gotta little confused haha

  • @GibsonSg1275 yes i like them without covers

  • @fenderboy08 And are the covers easy to take off??

  • @JIOISIE thanks and the song is nightrain

  • so would it be a good idea, to buy these and put them on a Jackson JS32R Dinky that i have to get the same tone that slash has?

  • @fernig0017 i would reccomend these pickups to anyone for any guitar.... It will not get the exact tone but it will get you very close

    thanks

  • how long do you play? :)

  • @bulletinyurass about 5 years now

  • Witch kind of guitar is it?Cherry sunburst?

  • @victor1997ification Epiphone les paul cherry sunburst

    thanks

  • @fenderboy08 It's a good idea to shift the pickups to those pickups?

  • OMG!!!! so happy i just got today the slash appetite for destrution les paul!!! 2 slash signature seymroe duncan alnico pro II pickups. booklet signed by skash with his picture.!!!!!! so happy limited to only 2000 world wide!!! if anyoe has this guitar comment on your thoughts please

  • @bandit25501 i ordered one and i got it and the neck was cracked when i got it o i sent it back........ new one should be here tomorrow........ for the small amount of time i played it i liked it....... neck is thicker than he les paul in the video..... ill have to get used to it but the sound and the finish are both awesome............. i will post a video of it soon

  • @bandit25501 yeah i ordered one too. its coming next week from china and it was 300 bucks. have the pick ups at home ready to install

  • @bandit25501 i did a review on the epiphone appetite guitar check it out....

  • does the sound change too much after chanking the alnico classic of your Epiphone to Seymour Duncan alnico pro II? Do you recommend them? thanks!!!!!!!

  • @elpajaro27 The sound changes a lot you can definitly tell.......... its a lot crisper and not so muddy....... i like it a lot and its good for blues and rock........ i would reccomend them to anyone who plays blues and rock...... thanks for the comment

  • nice man

  • @jblackmd1 thx!

  • @gibsonguitar1988 Thanks and if you are planning on installing them yourself then good luck...... i expected it to take about 2 hours tops but the pickip wouldnt fit so i had to rout the guitar......... took me just over 4 hours. Tell me how it goes and what u think of them!

  • @fenderboy08 I love them! I did install them myself with no modding/routing needed. They sound fantastic and I love the sound!

  • @gibsonguitar1988 Thats awesome and you are very lucky!

  • @fenderboy08 Yeah that Les Paul had BurstBucker Pros in it and they were awful, the Alnico II's are a HUGE change. I tried it through my Marshall and my Fender Twin Reverb and I love it through both rigs!

  • @gibsonguitar1988 yes they are. they are a lot easier to hear like they arent so "muddy" i guess.

  • @fenderboy08 Yup exactly. the Alnicos have a nice brightness and clarity.
