What finally happened on this episode? Did the Dillards make it to the 'final edit' of the show, and is there a vid?

This song also was played on 'The Andy Griffith Show', in the episode where a 'song-catcher' was in town to record 'authentic music'. (Too bad Barney didn't have that harmonica solo more polished and presentable).
