lemon juice is acidic, it will clear your skin by cleaning the effected area and dry it out which reduces redness but that is only a temporary solution.

broken out skin is a symptom of bad health, to much sugar, fats etc etc. to really fight against acne from my own experience i find the best way is to change to a healthier diet, don't eat pasta, bread, rice, sugary things or red meat (or chicken) pretty much carbs and sugar are bad, also try kefir twice a day.
