That WAS a rebuilding year. The defense was young, but they weren't as bad as ppl made them out to be. Remember, JL threw 16 INT's, many ran back deep into LSU terriotry, 7 for TD's. That's 49 points right there! I think LSU dominates so much in bowl games because A) They match up with teams that just don't have the talent and speed they do B) They have a whole month to get healthy again after that rough SEC schedule C) Les does a great job in bowl preperation.

Weeks before this game ... the GT fans felt insulted by the Bowl Selection Committee for putting them in a bowl against a 7-5 LSU team ... they thought their little yellowjackets were deserving of a more elite team ... BWAHAHAHA ... the Tigers WHIPPED them insects into submission ... "Fly away bugs!"

even Arkansas' young team was able to pull out a win over LSU that year but gosh, in bowl games, no team touches LSU.

I'm an Arknsas fan, but what is it about LSU in these bowl games? they just dominate like hell against anybody they play. I'm proud of them for representing the S.E.C. the way they do.

@greg14dukeu Ehh.... LSU's defense was okay in 2008, but is was a POS compared to LSU's defense in 2007. LSU gave up over 50 points in their games against Florida and Georgia that year.
