Unlike the Mac Puck mouse the Orbita Mouse has a really good reason for being round, that is you can spin it at the same time as using the regular x - y axes. While the puck mouse suffered from orientation problems, the Orbita uses an inbuilt compass to self orientate continuously.

The entire top area of this round mouse works as a left click button. Use one finger to click or a combination of fingers, offers you a versatility in mousing operations that no other mouse can offer.

Gee that would be so handy... as I have such difficulty pushing the ctrl, shift or space button while using the mouse...

Quite the contrary. Because you don't have to hold the mouse in a fixed position as you do for conventional pointers, the Orbita is remarkably comfortable. Also the silicon shell allows you to handle the mouse with a delicate touch as well as provides a nice to the touch tactile feel.

The Orbita is not really a specialized gaming device. Specifically not ideal for FPS gaming, However quite handy in strategy or 3d virtual environments where you need to zoom in and out of game spaces.

Pretty nice! Don't think I'd get use of one, but I like the idea.
