i was old teenager when this music came out back in the late 80s early 90s

it was a great time..a huge moment when a truly a new era of rock music was emerging... besides Nirvana...

so inspiring to hear absolutely undeniably new sounds....

so I always have this nostalgic feeling towards MBV imagining myself back at that time, no problems, 10 bucks in my pocket, and a party to go to that evening..... thats it.. my have times changed...HA!

Saw MBV on the 1992 (or was it 93?) Rollercoaster Tour with JAMC and Dinosaur Jr (and Blur...who were close to splitting up at the time,not that I'd've cared)-anyway;my mate said they sounded "like a 747 landing" which I took as a compliment,but he,being a diehard LedZep fanatic,meant it as a criticism.One of the best bands of the 20th Century wasted on him!!

But I love MBV and also a lot of current bands (some very obscure and Avante Garde stuff). I grew up on classic rock but I hardly listen to it now. I want to hear new music. In fact I don't know how people can let themselves become out of touch with what's new and current but not every 40 year old lives in the past

This song and it's lyrics are gorgeous. The lyrics are so descriptive of being with someone sensually/sexually. People who are growing, blooming as individuals trying to get together before they wither and grow old, and have a sexy time. It seems like such a hopeful song.
