She overheard Jennifer mention the company on the phone, Jennifer told her it was Ross who set it up in Amandas name. Diane used it to blackmail Ross along with the truth about Phillip. It had nothing to do with Quint.
"Springfield Investment Company" was the phony company that Quint McCord set up to try and block Diane from gaining too much stock at Spaulding and to hurt his father, who turn out to be Henry Chamberlain.
Vanessa looked beautiful then.
