WICKED ALL TRUE CLASSIC WITH THE BEATS SCOTT LA ROCK R.I.P BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN IN MY HIP HOP WORLD NOR SHOULD BE IN YOURS.AND WITH A YOUNG HIP HOP TEACHER KRS 1 THE BLASTMASTER.ONE GEEBEATS.
Remember listening to this regularly on WHPK in Chicago but then I never heard it play again for like 20 yrs. Typed in the hook in a google search and I got this! Thank you so much for posting this, taking me back to my early high school days.....
This song was number 1 on WBLS for like 6 weeks. It was mixed with Keith Sweat's "Make It Last" instrumental. My homeboy from the Bronx brought this all the way to Orlando, FL. I was an outcast in Florida, because no one back then was checking for underground hip hop. I miss those days. If anybody has the radio mix, post it!
@universallordgator i got the mix somewhere on my cassettes, ill look for it. its mixed with andrew dice clay on the mix with it from either BLS or kiss fm with red ALert or chuck chillout.. it must be kiss fm cause in those days krs was feuding with mr magic from BLS
(continued) like when he says "The girls be looking meaner, The cars be looking sweeter/ carry bigger gun, trigger people for fun." To think, he basically shook everything up then! The only one who outdid him (and COMPLETELY changed everything) was Rakim. Amazing!
scott la rock would have been the best producer and deejay he was the fucking man. if anyone reading this got some scott la rock foottage please share it.
Damn, I wonder what kinda beats Scott la rock would have evolved into doing if he hadn't gotten killed. This one definetitely has a different style from alot of his others.

The original didn't have the message referring to Scott. I removed mine with Sound Forge.

KRS 1's rhyme patterns were so ahead of his time! He helped to usher in newer styles. He's kind of like the transition between Run D.M.C. & Rakim.
