  • @brapboys503 lol.. one of my friends owns a old volvo wagon... and the other day he took the cat converter out cause it was going and had to change it.. he started driving around and it was loud as hell.. i was making fun of him.. i told him sounds like u got a monster in there... u must run 10's at the track.. lol he wouldnt stop laughing

  • the civic is heavy? what makes you think such a thing? i bet its about 230-240hp also making those times also with the basic bolt ons. what kind of numbers is it xproductionz?

  • im pretty sure this isnt that k24 motor. no one in their right mind would want to swap an accord, crv, or element k24 motor. its not the same. hes either got a frank build which is k20 head with k24 bottom, or a straight TSX motor. k24a2. those both have 200 hp. and with the parts you listed, it will be at 230-250. ive seen k24's with similar mods make 250, and like 195-200tq.

  • well, talking about money wise i agree. i think the k20 is better for NA. given the power it comes with already and that 6 speed tranny. and gains from there parts seem to be greater than any b-series ive seen.

    i just read in another video this guy in the video said he has a stock k24a4 in that civic. im calling BS on that. maybe stock bottom end with k20 or TSX head. but the stock long block is BS. if that were the case, i would have ended up sticking with getting that motor for like $1000

  • i was going to buy the k24a4 or a1 since it was cheap, and had more torque, but then i read its not the 3 lobe vtec and people just tell me it sucked, id be happier saving for a type-s motor, plus it came with the 6 speed transmission. or maybe this guy in the video is saying stock internals but with a turbo. its hard to tell if it was turboed in this video. wish hed tel us more.

  • well ive had my k20a2 swapped civic since december now. i was just ssaying what i was looking at first. some time, i plan to get the TSX bottom so i can have that extra torque though.

  • yeah. id like to see that. i prefer having a NA car, but i love the sound of a turbo. i aint a high HP freak either. anywhere between 220-250 hp is perfect for me. i dont think id have any space issues in my bay though. surprisingly, these k motors leave alot of room swapped into earlier civics. theres a guy on here who has a del sol i use to talk to alot. im sure hed be really interested in your car as well if you dont mind me showing him your car.

  • not to be an ass but the K is the only way to go for a All Motor drag car. if you got the money to spend, a K would dominate all motor. they make ridiculous power NA. B series are cheaper to build and are good for NA but the K is the best for all motor. people are in the 10's with street cars all motor. do some research and look at all motor k's.

  • i agree completely. its just if you have the money to spend i would go with a K series all motor. thats all. i have a built b series that i love because it was way cheaper then a K and i can work on it myself without any problems. im not looking to start a flame war or anything, i save that for the dumbestic guys. but yes i agree with what you said.

  • oh, and those year civics (01-05) are only 2400 lbs
