for me it doesn´t exist a crappy sound xD

i started making my own sounds in the beginning of producing (god my english isn´t so well..)

when i listen to my oldest sounds i have to crap all over the floor xD

but then i turn this crappy sound into a very good unique sound with some plugins like distortion units, reverb, delay, flanger, phaser or fx vsts like dblue glitch or effectrix ^^

or i just play with the sample knobs ^^

there are many ways to get a good sounding sample ^^

You seem to think every sound has to sound "FAT". But if you pay more attention to your track, and balance your mix you will notice that if you keep your bassline or whatever other element "clean' of reverb/delay it will "Suite" the mix better and it is far more easy to give each elemnt their own "space" in the track so it sounds dynamic an wide.

By all means, No offence, just hoping this refreshes you're konwledge and make

Sorry. no offence but it is a common mistake to use Reverb on almost everything you implement.

Like for the bassline you used :it sounds muddy and the overall mix is not dynamic anymore.

Yes, use of External effects Can make a huge difference if implemented in the right way.

Well this was a long time ago, right now i use the EQ and reverb on my basses. Just a little reverb with delley and it sounds great. Trust me.

FL studios is great, people who don't understand the program and the power of VST's will never harness the true potential, and always say it sucks... Not really do you know how many pro's use FL? TONS!!!

FL kicks ass, no doubt about that.

But then, programs like Logic and Cubase have more power in them, taken into consideration that you know how to use them.

FL Studio is simple, and gets you up and running in no time. =)
