Here's my theory after all the ODST's drop pods land the chief is going to follow the reason for there dropping is probably because of a new alien uprising or a human revolt it could be flood i don't know but its gonna be epic!

ur going to be playing as the ODST's those are the ODST Drop Pods,.... masterchief is in space...so obviousley he cant be in "earth" and that planet at the end of the legendary campaign is NOT earth... the way i see it is...bungie is pretty much guna let us go through the ODST experience, and what THEY saw while being on Earth....(beside...theres alot of pods comin down from the sky,...ODST's are pretty much the elite of the marines...) its self explanitory if u pay attention to it...

the guy mentions that they R ODST Pods NOT nething else. doubt it preety much cheif will b in it however this is bungie, they can do anything

the guy also mentions that there is a ship behind the building at :10 - :13 sec (its the building with a ramp n has a arrow on it) something about prophet of regret (can someone explain the prophet of regret i canot remember)the guy tells u evereything!

The prophet of regret was one of the three head prophets that lead the covenent and during the attack on earth he had his ship leave the battle in space and attack the surface of earth, specificly New Mombasa, before the others were able to back him up.

But after being held off for so long and being cornered the prophet of regret escapes by having his ship do a slipspace jump inside the city, which wrecks the city. A slipspace jump(although not real) works by openning a portal to another dimension which causes a pretty big blast.

when you say starship trooper do you mean an ODST? an ODST has been the most disscused topic so far. now for actual arg possibilites some of us are looking at some websites that are in the message. I cant recall the one were trying to get into right now but il post later.

Guess.(continued) aniversary of Halo 3) To pu it in simple terms :

We might play as an ODST, it's pretty certain that the cheif will not be the person we control, the story is supposed to be darker and grittier. If you want to ask me a question then message me here on you tube, I probably wont post on this video again.

A good guess of what will be shown is a campaign that starts when the chief left earth along with the prophet of regret. For those that actually pay attention to bungie, some will remember a rumor at e3 saying a squad based shooter and something about playing as an ODST, plus it was confirmed that the announcement at e3 (which was cancled before it was shown so bungie showed it to us on 9/25/08, the 1 year -

OK, heres a basic rundown of it.

1. It is cleary in New Mombasa

2. We can safely bet that the trailer takes place when the prophet of regret makes the slipspace jump inside the city.

3. We can reasonably assume that the drop pods are odst due to the text on them and the line "Prepare to drop" that is displayed in the trailer.

4. To explain to everyone that hasn't guessed this yet : The ODST's that are seen dropping on their own planet(earth) probably were on

My Theory is that the Half ship the Master Cheif is on floats to Earths orbit and breaks up into pieces and then Cortaqna Wakes him up and they have to find a UNSC Military Base

Well i know how everyones saying its the ODST and it takes place in halo 2.

But i got a question. why would the ODST be landing on a planet there already on. They were helping chief destroy the scarab.

So maybe it takes place like 10 years after halo 3 when New mombasa was rebuilt. Then gets attacked by Elites that still believe in the Great Journey. Like Transformers with Auto bots and Decepticons. Only with elites.

Just a thought.

depending on if he is alive or not, this is either a continuation of the halo 3 campaign, or, as DustbunnyRoars pointed out, a "halo 0" kind of thing, which probably does not have much to do with the current halo trilogy.

1.) There is a part in it that gives a warning on the flood. Maybe thats a ship taken over by the flood and drop pods of flood are attacking?

2.) going back in time. like halo 0. show story lines on the first spartens? maybe there is some world war going on and the spartans are on one side of it?

Just a few ideas to keep this going. Im curious to see what people say.
