How do you use Garmin Mobile XT with a separate receiver? It forces me to use the Garmin receiver, which is a bit of a kludge. I have the Holux 1000 receiver, and want to use it with my Dash and XT mobile.

my boss has a garming gps 2008 lates version, we had to travel to los angeles to work at a bldg. i placed my phone and he placed his gps on the window to pair up and see if the phone was worth the gps. my phone was 3 seconds faster on the movements and about 1.5 second faster on turn by turn instructions. can you believe that? lol it had me laughin because he waisted about 500 dollars and i just hacked mines for free lol!

If you get the new HTC DASH roms, on that XDA developers website... it'll allow to stick in 8gb or more micro-sd cards. Your Dash can read and write to em... tried and tested.

i will usually recommend 2g because of the quantity of the maps. the whole gramin program doesnt take 1g. but the maps can take lots of storage space. i think for the whole united states its about 5g but im guessing.

yeah i had been playing with skyfire for quite a time now. its way better than deepfish and the t-mobile web browser.

You already your TMOBILE DASH hooked to a freakin' GPS, then what's the point of wasting your cellphone's battery power? What if you get a call, lol, whoops, have to start the whole GPS thing all over again...that is if you have friends, and ever get phone calls.... So overall, just a waste of time. You already have a GPS dude, just use that! I have a Pocket Loox GPS, and I don't ever hook my phone up to that shit. ITS A GPS, IT'S WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO! Good video anyways :)

it doesnt mess you up trust me. it interupts but it goes back to the gps. if you have you phone connected and chargin you wouldnt have to worry about batt life

From what i can tell, i have Garmin fully installed and unlocked, but on the "view map" function it only shows the full US map and says searching for satellites. It never seems to find a "sat".

I bought a pharos gps with bluetooth dock on ebay brand new for 35 dollars....the box had never been opened. The device is fully charged and i have put it in direct line of sight with the sky here in Los Angeles.

i followed your dash garmin instructions almost exactly...the only difference is that the torrent file once download 3 different times on 3 different computers yeilded a corrupt Disk1.cab file. So i found a different download. It is still the 2008 version.

for the gps.. it only has US maps atleast thats what i show you guys. if you want other maps you will need to find them yourself.

t-mobile dont know whats up whrer there own products.. did your pharos come with a dock "tranceiver"? if it did then get at me at my "more info" video description i got a step by step connection in writing. if it didnt then you will need to get a pharos dock.
