During transformations, Banner should have turned really red first and then once he started growing, turn green. He turns green right away here and he just looks sick and the anger aspect is lost. Then the Hulk doesn't look like an anger crazed behemoth. He looks like a chubby muscle bound Ang Lee, let's get real. This is a case of a director having self sex with one of our beloved heroes as a third. The perversity is just sickening.
Okay, I know I left a comment earlier today but I've gotten to thinking about the prospect of whether INCREDIBLE HULK could be considered a sequel or not. When you think about it the only real contradiction is the opening credits. Though similarly didn't SUPERMAN II's opening scene with Jor-El banishing Zod and his goons to the Phantom Zone have drastically different dialogue from the first film's openign? And that film is undeniably considered a sequel to Richard Donner's first film.
I really want to consider this one a sequel as well personally. 'Cause I agree that this was far from an abysmal failure, and there were enough story similarities (where Bruce ends in the original and begins in INCREDIBLE) that make it very obvious that the script was originally intended to be a sequel.
I like Eric Bana better as Bruce Banner than Edward Norton. I thought he betrays the emotions and fear that Bruce would be going though, without over doing it.
1 sec ago the final battle between Hulk and his dad with what happened to the dad was very confusing. I didnt understand that part. I agree about the panel changes were a bit jaring at times. I think the chartures were not very well devloped as they could have been. to me it felt like I barely knew the chartures. the dogs were not good CGI and their death's were icky
@blowshimselfupdude ya but its a different studio and the end of hulk hes somewhere in south america speaking spanish and in TIH he just got in brazil and is learning how to speak portuguese
I felt that the opening sequence in Incredible Hulk could be a new origin to make it stand alone or as an homage to the tv series and as a sequel to Hulk
this movie is quite underrated. funny thing is, this has what the incredible hulk lacks : the more emotional / psychological side of banner, while Hulk lacks some things that TIH had (more action). somehow, we have to fuse these things together....
the ending's confusing? how? the incredible hulk i willbe honest was a great popcorn flick but hulk was to me the true dark hulk with a story and incredible hulk just copy and pasted it didn't try to be real or give development and in the end i felt nothing for the character's.
@InfamousNick07 And before you go well then watch slow movies idiot! let me say i enjoy fast movies but unfortuantly incredible hulk didn't even try it ripped the show's story and threw in some action and said "this is what audeinces want!" and unfortunatly that's what audeinces want the story telling genre ended with the matrix movie's.
@mayhem9024 i have watch slow movies and love some (ex. 12 angry men,Mississippi Burning, slumdog millionaire) the problem is that the hulk is SO slow that it becomes boring and i never felt anything for the characters they came off hooky than real.
the real issue was the enemy but a rule in the movie term is you cannot have the american military being the villian, the antagonist yeah but not the villian.

@kyledubrule But they said it's kind of a sequel.
Yeah cuz the ending didn't CLEARLY say he was moving around the world.

@blowshimselfupdude He has a different origin.

It would have been better if they had Hulk speak during the action scenes.
'Leave Hulk alone puny humans or Hulk will smash!'
He didn't even do his signature move in this movie, the handclap. It would have been amazing in the San Francisco scene.

kyledubrule 1 year ago
@kyledubrule they don't it's just a bunch of explosions the only real scenes are with bruce and betty and even then it sounds stupid and forced.

@mayhem9024 whatever TIH is still better than the hulk
kyledubrule 1 year ago
@kyledubrule how? one had an actual story it was emotional and tried to be smart which it was.the other was loud and was forgettable.

@dvid22 you can if done right (ex. incredible hulk) the problem is when they do the same thing over and over again it's predictable.
