  • miss fruity pebbles....I have alot of VHS tapes and have a lot of stupid-cool retro things to put up...how do you guys do it? I have like7 VHS tapes worth. Including salier moon, barbies, etc..

  • Stupid bee!!! I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS CASTLE FOR DAYS!!!!!!!!

  • What did he just say?

  • @dynomitis The toys, not the jingle.

  • Look at WAKA 3:43

  • @dynomitis I think those were created by the same guy that invented Chuck e. Cheese, no joke.

  • @antnee1980, The cereal like you mentioned. Also, how toy companies created tv shows that promoted their products (ex: Gobots, Gem, Thundercats, He-Man......).

  • Wow that Supergirl buckle up PSA was really strange. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for! Terrific.

  • I remember the Micro Machines stufff. Man I feel old.

  • One person had a horrible childhood in the 80s.

  • Nosey Bear show how much advertising works on kids. I wanted one so bad...now I see them and think why?? :)

  • man the micro machine mman???Classic

  • I still rap those Fruity Pebbles rhymes. Only a few words off, not bad for 20 years later.

  • Oh man! I remember that auction-sounding guy! Does anyone remember or know his name? :D

  • all these commercials I forgot what I was watching.

  • I can't believe I actually enjoyed watching commercials..

  • thank you for posting all these commercials, I enjoyed them very much.

  • I am the little girl who is lifting up her dress. I was 3 years old and made over 35,000 dollars on that 2 second clip of me!

  • Im personally glad I was an 80s child, 80s were awesome!

  • @TheRiggyRiggs ME TOO

  • nosy bears!

  • Another classic. Do they still make count chochula and the others? I wish kids today could experience the toys and commercials we did back then. Then they really would be seeing something better.

  • @steelangelriver Yes, Count Chocula is usually available around Halloween, same goes with Franken Berry, not so sure about Boo Berry, but yeah, I know for a fact that they sell Count Chocula around my area during the Halloween season.

  • @IcedEarthaholic

Oh ok thank you for your response

  • @steelangelriver My pleasure, you can also order the stuff year-round on Amazon, no joke. Figured I'd do my best to connect a fellow Count Chocula fan with their favorite cereal. :)

  • i had a power wheels....i always thought it went ALOT faster than they just showed....damn imagination

  • TRICK FRED!!? LOL

  • That Cheerios bee is a grade-a asshole. The kid didn't ask for his damn cereal and the stupid insect knocked over his castle.

  • WHOA. I would take that power wheels everywhere if i had one right now. I'd pwn all the Cobra B.A.T's in my path!! (how do i remember this?)

I also still have that Micro Machine at 0:29 and the motorcycle from the seriouslysmallserieswithoutrageouslyoversizedwheels series.. what a mouthful

  • i COuld fuck some fruity pebbles up right now...then since im high id prolly open up the yummy mummy.

  • Really barny,rapping?

  • LOL at first commericial, talking really fast

  • I Was a One year old Living in Petersburg Va

  • i have almost all of the old 80/90s cartoons thats on dvd but i realize now that the commercial played a major part also why else would i be watching this

  • Man, I can still sing along with the Fruity Pebbles commercial!! LOL!!!

  • I remember this commercial from a break during Pee-wee's Playhouse! I know, 'cause I had that show recorded on tape for a long time, and we didn't bother with the rigmarole of skipping the commercials, so we just had those in, and this was one of them.

I also think that this may have been one of the last times that Mel Blanc voiced Barney here.

  • Im 34 and still have my bravestar figures, my 8 year old son plays with em!

  • Count Chocula ....whoo hoo!

  • You sure this is 1988? Seems more like early 90s...

  • i didnt see bravestar for a very long time!!!

  • DUCKTALES! Hell yeah! best disney show EVAR!!!

  • it's odd but it really isn't about the shows we miss but more about how we felt back then, thundercats, robotech, he man, they're all on dvd but the feeling of watching them when we were kids is gone.

  • lol, galoob

    bought in 98 by Hasbro

  • if it doesn't say Micro Machine, it's not the real thing.

  • wow super wrlh 35 the bravestarr promo wow i miss the 80s 35 was the home of thundercats, transformers, robotech, transzor z, he-man back down memory lane.

  • WOW Nosy BEARS!!!!!!!! I had one of those!

  • I remember the Supergirl PSA. I even had the comicbook for it.

  • As if all these ol skool commercials from my childhood weren't good enough, I smiled even more when I saw the familiar WRLH logo from my hometown pop up on my screen. I'm guessing this is before Fox picked them up?

  • *laughs* Raise your hand if you remember trying to talk as fast as the Micro Machines Guy and if you could actually sing along with the Pebbles Rap!

  • Wow, all the things we could do with that G.I. Joe water blaster.....

  • You failed as a parent if you got your little boy a nosy bear as the commercial suggests you should....

  • I was about to say ...I saw that boy with a nosy bear and said that i would never get my son a nosy bear lol

  • All of these clips on YOUTUBE remind me of growing up in the eighties when you actually got up just to watch cartoons and thats how u started ur day..then you would be at the grocery store trying to get ur mom to buy u one of the many cereals that came out weekly...then trying to get her to buy u a action figure lol ha ha

  • @antnee1980 preach it, i'd still get up for Saturday morning TV if it was worth a fuck anymore.

  • @antnee1980 Well said...stay young...how old are you??...i was 6 in 88'...wish it was 88' not 2011.

  • @MrSlik25 MEEEEEEEEE TOOO. i WAS 6 YEARS OLD IN 1988 omg....,nosey bears. lol. I remember all things i used to ask for like bubbles they would sell...don't know if your from canada we used to have a store called bi way and i would pick up bubbles to blow....and i even had skip it! OMG>

  • is it me or does fred flintstone sound exactly like al pachino...

  • I was born in 1988. Its really cool to see how the commercials were back then.

  • If that faggity bee messed up my castle after I told him to leave me alone, I'd rip his wings off...then crush him with a box of fruity pebbles for the irony.

  • thtas the funniest shit i read in a while..lol

  • win.

and god damn nosy bears, forgot all about those until i watched this clip...i actually had one

    me = fail.

  • Oh my god... I forgot all about nosy bears until i just watched this. I was actually able to sing along to the them song... I remember laughing my ass off at the girl singing..."they have a nose for fun, hey have a nose for funnnnn"...ha ha ha ha ..Nothing like the 80's...Im 32 years old and still miss that time in my life. My twin bro does too..he actually remembers nosy bears too lol

  • omg those nosy bears are so cute! I like the popcorn one.

  • WTF at Nosy Bears.

  • DuckTales, memories!

  • I take it BraveStarr was the inspiration for Walker, Texas Ranger? :P

  • I still love fruity pebbles in a major way, I'm still a kid @ heart lol!!!

  • I still eat Fruity Pebbles but I've not been eating a lot of US chocolate-flavored goods lately because the "chocolate" taste is acidic and inferior. I miss real chocolate Hershey's and M&M/Mars candy, it's all mockolate now.

  • LOL, that's so true!!!

  • wow i remember the micromachine commercial and he doesn't talk as fast as he used to

  • Back in those days, EVERYTHING had a theme song.

  • i still love fruti pebbles in a major way lol....

  • These commercials were a lot better than the news we gets todays... lol Still remember micro machines =)

  • best vintage commercials on Youtube!!! thanks!!!

  • Thank you for posting this, I can now come to terms with the fact that I was seriously neglected as a child.

  • "Your powerful water blaster will wipe them out!" So they explode with fire...

  • aww, i wanted to watch ducktales! hehe

  • power wheels were the shit!

  • hell yeah!!!! ducktales

  • I thought I was crazy....I remembered a bear with popcorn in it's nose. And It was the Nosy Bears. lol after all these years now I remember.

  • If I recall DUCK TALES was not on Saturday mornings in 1988 it was on weekday afternoons on Fox Channel 5 where I live.

  • it was on abc but your also right example pokemon was on kidsWB in houston but in other cities it was on fox and in houston pokemon was never on fox down here.

  • You're right too burby8100. Because I recall seeing an episode of DARKWING DUCK on ABC one Saturday morning during the 1991-92 season, but it was also on weekday afternoons on WPIX Channel 11 New York during the same season. What date in 1988 did you record this commercial?

  • John Moschitta during the Micro Machines ad! Oh, I remember this well.

  • Comment removed

  • I forgot about Nosy Bears! :)

  • omg i feel so old...i remember almost all of those :(

  • I was just thinking the same thing.

I'm 30 now...how the F*ck did that happen?! lol When I was a kid I never thought about it.

  • yep

  • i hated that impostor Fred voice. the real Fred voice would never have fallen for Barney's evil tricks.

  • Mel Blanc only had one year to live when this Fruity Pebbles aired.

  • i loved watching Duck Tales in the British Toon Disney.

  • That Nosybears commercial was hilarious for some reason.

  • he loves fruity pebbles in a major way? What?

  • ah i miss these

  • Wow I can feel myself being brainwashed all over again...feeling like I have to get all the sugary cereals (especially the the ones with the toy inside) and feeling like I have to have the latest toy. Thank god video games didn't have the same kind of grip back then that they do today, kids are like zombies. But nonetheless this does bring back fond memories!

  • Power wheels are sooo Cute! I love this gi joe tracker commercial!

  • That's exactly how I remember the Ducktales bumper. I had a Nosy Bear! I miss the old days when everything was simple.

  • what is the micro machine guy saying? lol.

  • Haha, my mouth will set on fire...

  • His mouth must have been going at the speed of light to talk that fast. lol

  • The nosy bears commercial seems very surrealistic

  • Wow. Unbelieveable. Ah Memories.

  • Wow watching this is like taking a trip back in time. It brings back a lot of good feelings and memories from my childhood. Thanks for the look back at the days when the summers lasted forever.

  • Nosy bears. Pillow People, Popples...I guess everyone's creative and active imagination must've gotten spent after the 80s. I feel sorry for the kids that had to grow up after around 1992.

  • Go Count Chocula!!!! man I wish Nosy Bears were still made I wasn't Born in the 80's so I was never able to have one!!!!

  • Go Count Chocula

  • hahaha nice, micromachines were sweet

  • please stop posting these old commericals, it makes me sad because it shows that im old as dirt . :( lol

  • i don't feel old. on the contrary, i feel young because i remember the old days.

  • To get the fruity taste he's gata TRICK FRED? BARNEY!!!! I miss those days.

  • Ha! I forgotten about the motor mouth micro machines guy.

Aww. I think I miss seein the Ducktales commercial bumpers more than the actual show. Good to see this. Thank you. Brings back memories.

  • Well, it sort of does make sense. It's at least easy to rewatch episodes since the entire first season and Bubba/Gizmoduck pilots are on DVD, but the bumpers are pretty dang hard to find! They haven't been used since.... Ducktales' brief time on the WB I believe.

  • I have some old bumpers that I dumped from old tapes recorded around 1990. Most are not "complete" bumpers but I think I have most shots of all the different postcards used on the bumpers. Gonna try to post them soon. Makes me feel kinda sad or wistful to see those too...I love Ducktales! :)

  • What DID bigfoot look like? Man, I miss those were the days. Those shows were classic.

  • If I were that kid in the Honey Nut Cheerios commercial I'd fucking pull out his wings for wrecking my castle.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Duck Tales. "Bahney!" Bravestar. Thanks for posting this. Brings back great childhood memories from when I was 5 years old and without a care.

  • Right!@bumpers on Ducktales DVDs. I said the same thing!

  • A few years after, Count Chocula was convicted

    of murdering children in LA

  • I used to love Count Chocula. OMG, cartoons. . .on TV. . .after school! Man, I'm going to miss that when my son is old enough to go to school.

  • I heart 80s commercials! Micro Machine guy was on I Love the 80's. He's great! I wish they put the Ducktales bumpers on the DVDs. "Pow Pow Power Wheels" CLASSIC!

  • I miss that fast talking Micro Machine man. He reminded me of that fast talker from those old FedEx commercials.

  • They are the same guy.

  • That's probably because it's the same guy.
