I feel like I've just been to church! All this time I've been praying for a way to teach myself to quilt...some which seems like torture (i.e. hand bind the entire thing). Nice! Treat it like a big pillow case! Love it!

Very nice video and the end product was so nice. It kill's me that you didn't iron your fabric at all. How did it turn out in the end, did you not need to iron because you had no blocks and did the wrinkles come out in the wash. I am curious...I may try your method :)

you can baste fashion fabric and batting together so it won't bunch up on you, but if you do it like me it won't.

Spray adhesive works quite well for this.

Thank you sooo much for the video. It;s "how-to's" like yours that helps us beginners build confidence. My quilt came out wonderful! I noticed your desk in the background and was wondering what you are using for the desk top. Are those stackable bins?

yes it is! I wanted to make my own work station so I used the stackable draws three tall then got myself some MDF cut it to the width of the draws painted it white and set it on top of the draws to have my own custom work station, very inexpensive and I love it. doing it the way I did you can have wall to wall work space from a little bit of money and not to mention tons of storage!Thanks for your comment.

MMMMMMMMM i do not know about making this in a day after all there is a lot of measuring to be added but then again you are probably use to making these type of quilts but for a beginners i do think it may be slightly longer than a day..

My moms is the only one that I know of who has one. I can't use it even if my life depended on it cuz its one of those old school ones you have to work your feet & hands together to make it work!! LOL ... my quest begins!
