  • Whether you like WP7 or not, this is some brilliantly idealized and directed little movie/ad. Kudos to the publicity agency that made it.

  • they need to redo this launch vid. make it awesome like nokia's vids

  • typical microsoft

  • nice ass 0:55

  • Steve Jobs....:(((

srry im a apple gal and will always be...

  • I'm more of an Apple person myself on some things but I own a Windows Phone and I absolutly love it!! :D

  • Microsoft : "Don't fuck with me Apple, you either, Google."

  • Coool!

  • That chick has a great body.

  • I'm proud to say that I have had a Windows 7 smartphone for 3 months now, and apart from one or two glitches, the whole experience has been phenomenal.

  • i wish she came with the phone

  • @millsathn Yeah!! Awesome comment dude! :)

  • @yogaxpto

The point is, it's a lot easier and faster in Windows Phone.

Still waiting on Honeycomb SC. By the way, it's open for OEMs, not consumers, if you're a gentoofag, it's probably better for you to go with meego or symbian. Android OS, while free to use and implement, infringes on many patents, and Google passes off the costs to it's manufacturers.

  • Doesn't seem that creative aside the effects..

I mean, even I can take a photo on my android and upload it to my facebook (and lots of other social networks) in a few seconds...

It's just my opinion, don't flame it closed-source users... :)

  • I looked over my Nokia 5800. It has had a primitive version of this. Just press and hold the menu button to go to and from apps. And I don't mean the kind like Apple's iPhone, I mean the apps that are open. It is pretty sweet to use, maybe Microsoft could've done a better job on their phone.

  • I am almost sure I have seen a commercial similar to this one where a lady sits down on a train or bus with a portable video device like this and an image like a living room is projected around her - like the bus or train is transformed into a living room. I am not even sure what product it was for but if someone is familiar with the commercial I am talking about could you please direct me to it? Thanks

  • just ordered my new samsung focus from AT&T should be here tomorrow , cant wait

  • this looks cool, like the way all the company's make fun of each others products xD

  • 0:52 the lady has a htc hd2 without windows phone 7 :O

  • This is why I want this phone. <3

  • The lady looks like a young Marilu Henner as a brunette. Even reminds of Famke Janssen.

  • I love my WM7 phone, replaced my Iphone with it and I am not looking back.

  • I only hope MS can do something as cool and significant with Windows on PC as with Windows Phone.

  • that's amazing

  • LED BANNER Now available for WINDOWS PHONE, check it out!!!

  • Abort apps and embrace features

  • in 0:55 she is holding HD2... They were thinking about porting WM7? maybe..

  • 0:54 she's holding an HD2!!!!!! what happened to the promised upgrade now???

  • @yeayohaha they aint talking softwear the mean the O.S

  • I think iPhone focuses on apps more than phone experience compared to other phones.

  • @PinkMirrorKirby-You are %100 correct about iphone without app is completely useless & boring device. Like other Apple products everything is locked *& must use their programs. For example, if you want to load a movie into an iphone it will require 20-30 minute conversion and then must use itunes to load it up. Most other phone manufacturers have open source, drag & drop system like all Nokia phone using Symbian and Maemo or all Phones with Android OS. iphone is most boring device ever.

  • ah I love Microsoft

    I feel so proud

  • Too little, too late. A monolithic giant unable to change its model.

  • @rawsomevegan unable to change? Dude ... they completely tossed Windows Mobile and created Windows Phone 7 o.O

  • they should have put this on tv commercial.

  • I just bought this phone yesterday and took it back today. Can you believe you cant sync it to Outlook? Unbelievable.

  • @smlatham yes you can.

  • hahahaahahahahahahaha i've seen the newest reviews and demos of the windows 7 phone and it is EXACTLY what this commercial was describing as "the old way" here, you still have to go in and out, "glance and go" is just a different way of saying it. the only difference really between this phone and any other is that you don't have an actual contact list in this phone.

  • watch out apple!! don't take this easily, this is microsoft not bb or htc. FTW Microsoft

  • How do you get people to pay for a product over and over and over, in order to get rid of its flaws? so, you sell them better version of what they already have, which is also flawed, You do what Microsoft does, create + sell products that areinsecure and flawed and then you keep charging people for what they already have to fix those flaws such as anti virus, etc,

All the suckers who use windows know these problems and what its costing them, and now there is mobile device for there suckers.

  • @Pashatube lol, and which oracle sold you these facts? actually don't tell me, i'm not in the mood to deal with the fanatic ramblings of a deluded anti-MS fanboy.

nobody pays over and over for updates from microsoft; they're free. there are also free antivirus programs that WORK. and the security systems on windows ARE flawed but are frequently improved...for FREE. plus with a bit of common sense you can work for years without catching a single virus or falling into a phishing trap.

    troll more.

  • @BrEnNo1023_ Obvious you dont own Vista operating system. Obvoius you are also illiterate. No one ever said anything about updates. Its their useless OS that is the problem. FWI, there are no free Anti-Virus SW that works and of course if you just use youtube there is litte risk of problem. But most of us dont. Dude at least do some research on the net before posting BS. I work in Computer industry and there is an old saying about people like you; "MS knows, sucker is born every minute".

  • @Pashatube Wow, i've seen this before. you're right: of course i don't own vista because if i did i'd be as jaded about windows as you are. i loathe vista. any self respecting human knows vista is nothing but pain and suffering. and believe me when i say i use a lot more than just youtube, i just don't do stupid shit, and my computer doesn't get attacked. simple. what BS did i post? as far as i know, my reply to your statements was logical.

'people like me'? pfft please...you're disappointing me

  • @Pashatube Also you need to get Windows 7 its never crashed never slowed down just worked perfectly...

  • I love thjx Video! It so happy and comfortable!...

  • wow ppl think logically. This platform is gonna grow and become successful (that's for sure) but really, it isn't gonna KILL the iPhone (Don't forget Android). Why are people always trying to destroy what is successful? That's just stupid. Competition breeds innovation. The Zune was the "iPod Killer", EVERY new phone was called a iPhone killer....the zune failed pretty bad but some of those phones (Evo, Droid etc) got popular but still it had no effect of Apple. They're still here.

  • @BlindLightbulb i'm getting sick of people describing phones as iPhone killers. it just institutionalises the idea that the iPhone is the best product out there.

which it never has been, and never will be.

if anything, the iphone is failing at being a competitor killer, because despite the ever anti-competitive Jobs bashing his competitors and every product made by his competitors, more and more are popping up and selling well.

  • the future is now. gone are the days of Apple. thx Windows Phone.

  • This looks awesome just like the KIN was awsome...oh wait...

  • Looks great.. will compete and get back into de phones games. Microsoft's tenacity on compiting on long term "battles" is amazing and something to admire. In some years I see Microsoft Phone 7 as a main player if not total leader of Smartphones. I do not see RIM nor Apple in the cloud game what is the furture, I do not see either them into the avatars internet second personality space. Phone 7 is the first step back for MS and I see a big future. Congrats to MS guys.

  • what phone is that? i've seen it in more than one windows phone 7 ad and vid but i don't know who makes it or what its called. if you can help me out, thank you much.

  • I think its the dell phone

  • hi, i have a wm6.1 phone and have a couple of softwares-one is navigational (route 66), downloaded from 3rd party cd's. am I going to be able to do the same with wp7 or is it only a 'market place' based phone.

  • Watch out Apple

  • @samn100 There is a new Top Dog in town :0

  • that woman is a bit old ..unattractive errr with this OS out..more phones...more cheaper phones=consumers win

  • Hopefully the phone has a good design most windows phones are bland and boring.

  • Great content - poor ad though MS. Looking forward to Windows Phone 7!

  • This new platform seems amazing, I own an HTC EVo 4G and It's a great phone but this phone is actually catching my eye, hopefully it will reach all the hype it's been bringing to the phone industry, but the saddest thing in my opinion is Microsoft is a leading company in computers and technology that it can really achieve amazing things way more than apple(as apple has needed help from Microsoft developers before) yet never comes up with amazing things because they get too comfortable....

  • Another cool app for Windows Phone 7:

    youtube.com/watch?v=U5kATjU9Voo

  • can the windows 7 series theme be downloaded?

  • 0:54

    Isn't that the HTC HD2?

Maybe there's an update form WM 6.5 to WP 7?

  • @iunbewgh no it wont be.. but HTC HD 2 can change its ROM to HTC desire HD.. quite cool though

  • that girl is really hot ;) so its the UI :D!!

  • the phone she's using has a very big screen (I think 4.5 inch), kinde like it :P, hope it really excist:P

  • @gamemanx 4.3 in

  • boobies XD

  • to everyone saying it is an HD2, its not an hd2... look at 0:47 it has THREE buttons on the front. as a phone with a big screen, it might look similar, but the video is using a concept phone.. not real.

  • @AbraKadabraHOMES i agree that the phon in her hand at 0:47 is a prototype or even one of the samsung models. but if you watch the phone very carefully after 0:54 it seems she swapped it for a HD2. everything about it is an HD2 the camera lens, huge screen, headphone at the bottom, even the lighter shade for the batter door.

  • you sold me on my zune and xbox live intagration

  • More Worms!!! Trojan and Spyware... thats good more Jobs....

  • She is using a HTC HD2 that is officially not supported ...

  • @Siolarzard As a HD2 owner i can tell you that is definitely a HD2

  • Microsoft could put lipstick on a pig and wouldn't care, looks so cool but I think the bigger thing to me than this really cool ui isnthe hardware that iwill eb running it on and given that there are rumours of htc releasing a four point five inch ambled screened phone with a gb of ram and dual core 1.5ghz arm processor and I have to say i would buy windows phone seven over android if they are sportinng those specs. I hope there is an android counterpart though

  • I want the phone she was holding! Looks like a beast!

  • like all Microsoft products... Simple yet elegant :)

  • I have an iphone...

it is a piece of crap :(

  • @treysparker SAME!!!

  • i like its interface. nice from microsoft. app developers should be ready for this phone.

  • theres now multitasking in iphone!!

  • go go Microsoft.

  • @TrueIori it is over price, the cost for the entire iphone is only 40USD

  • i have high hopes now for what microsoft is bringing out, but the question remains: will windows phone 7 live up to what its saying, will it be the next smooth os (after ios)

  • @TrueIori you're right. But microsoft will have nothing to do with it!

  • @TrueIori oh I am, and it's brilliant. I recommend you get one if you can afford one! ;)

  • damn it looks so good! finaly REAL competition for iphone. Im tired using the same thing over and over again. And android isn't really what im looking for. will check this out when in stores!

  • The phone the lady is using look like something from HTC....

  • We Need A Mobile Version Of Windows 7, Not Another Regular Mobile O.S. Simply Called Windows!!!

  • We Need A Mobile Version Of Windows 7, Not Another Regular Mobile O.S.

  • hahaha me encanta

  • woot birthday commercial...

  • The only people who will buy this phone will be x -box geeks with too much time on their hands.

  • I feel like using iphone 4’s tagline”This changes everything.Again” on the WP7 because it truly changes everything.

  • This is a HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7. 00:55

  • this is the MOST fresh idea from microsoft since windows XP...ORGASMIC!! XD

  • i think windows phone 7 os will shock the market when it comes out, xbox live games kick all iphone gamess ass ; ]

  • @elker101 Besides, the point is is that other phones (like the iPhone), CANNOT display the same type of information at a whim like the WP7 can.

Ergo: information feeds with the information you need, outside of the application in one place.

  • @halfingr Iphone does have multitasking, it does have copy and paste and it has a solid track record of customer satisfaction with a lot of dedicated developers. Windows is coming late in the game and it starting at the very bottom. Iphone and the palm web os are rock solid devices and wp7 can't perform as well. for your information i have used it. i predict a similar fate as the kin for MS even though they are planing a marketing war starting in sept.

  • @elker101 You've used WP7... Right. And I'm an anorexic.

iPhone doesn't have multitasking, unless you count playing music while playing with an imaginary lighter app as multitasking. It CAN do what WP7 can do and have several apps booted (but still 'slept') in the background. But NO PHONE CAN ACTUALLY MULTITASK. =/

WP7 has the 'multitasking edge' because it actually displays app info when not in the actual app, OotB.

Take your fanboyism flights to an Applegasm video. Seriously, not here...

  • @elker101 Not true-multitasking, because to be honest, no device this small will be able to multitask without melting because of the heat of the processor required; but partial multitasking that gets the same job done as multitasking.

    ...and:

    1) You've never used it - how the hell do YOU know its glitchy?

    2) It has the same amout of buttons as the iPhone: [wikipedia,org/wiki/Windows_phone_7#Hardware_requirements]

    3) Its not windows mobile anymore. Can you read?

  • wow!!

  • i'll buy it.

  • *yawn* vapor...ware... it's gonna be just like the "Courier". Don't get excited until this thing is in stores.

  • in video

she might be holding htc hd3.

i want to have winpho7 of that kind big, fast processor with lots of other features

hope htc would release the same phone as htc hd3

  • @virajith29 the phone she is hold has the exact same back design as the HD2

  • No SDCard = Epic fail!

You should be free. Not a prisoner of your choice.

  • Yay We Can Have Blue Screen Of Death On The Move! -_-

  • @Brapish atleast it can make calls

  • Nice video. Like where they're heading, but wouldn't that make it kinda hard to develop applications if it has to be integrated into several different part of the OS? I imagine it'd be hard to test, at least...

  • she's pretty~ If i buy wp7, so i get her in my package?~ :P

  • is she holding hd2??

  • @eleaderzz wow great catch, the only way i could tell if this is hd2 was going back to 1:06 minute mark and you can clearly see the camera lens sticking out. i know this because i own one~

  • @eleaderzz and also, going back to 0:55 you can clearly see the sticking out lens and dual camera~ hahah stupid microsoft, you guys abandoned HD2!

  • @chltmdwp xda will have it working on the hd2 ^_^

  • @dilipepper i hate rooting my wm phones. I am so over that now. I just want a working phone!

  • she might be holding htc hd3.

i want to have winpho7 of that kind big, fast processor with lots of other features

hope htc would release the same phone as htc hd3

  • Im excited with this new platform.. I really like the idea of pulling online stuff into one place.. this is a promissing development from microsoft. It will definitly kill the apple. thumbs up if u agree... :)

  • @zeraym I want either Android or Windows Phone 7 to kill iOS. =.=

  • @zeraym Lol only foolish people will agree with you. Microsoft is a big fail..what a joke

  • @bobchan111 if it was a fail, why is it the biggest software company in the world, and has a market share of 91% on computers?

  • @zeraym seriously why would you kill Apple?... if you buy food at McDonalds do you want to kill Burger King?.. jesus whats with you people...

  • The phone looks good, but there is a big chance that there will be a lack of applications, Microsoft has to make an attractive SDK, or has to make some deals with big software companies. or else the phone will be...... just like all the windows phones....

  • @felixvdloo they already have contracts with some huge companies that make apps for the iphone not to mention anyone who can program in any of the microsoft languages ie(silverlight,C#,C++)just to name a few you can write apps for the windows phone, oh and unlike apple you don't have to pay to write apps for the phone.

  • If your going to use the HD2 as an example... then at least upgrade it, or don't put the damn thing in there at all.

  • if this has a long enough battery life....i'm ditching my zune hd

  • Bonne idée en effet ce telephone intelligent compare a l'iPhone et contrairement a ces concurents "qui ont tendance a copier" est une alternative réelle.

Reste a voir en pratique si l'os sera stable.

  • Comment removed

  • great! hurry up microsoft!

  • WE WHO BUY WINDOWS PHONES WANT "WINDOWS 7" ON OUR MOBILE DEVICES, NOT A MOBILE O.S.

  • Pas mal du tout ce winphone7, mais fera t-il le poid face a l'iPhone 4, je demande a voir.

Puis bon ils ont un sacré retard a comblé pour les app.

  • Anyone knows the song/music that starts playing at 0:44 (voice-over says: "We start over...") ?

  • Sooo, just to clear up some misconceptions, Microsoft is not making a phone, I repeat, not making a phone. They are making the software for a phone, so any carrier from verizon to ATT can have it, but its just that some phones will be better than others in the hardware section and also size and design. The software itself cannot be messed with like winmo 6.5, Microsoft made it extremely clear. I personally am going to wait until a phone with a large screen like the HD2 comes out.

  • @asianoutcast87 thats just how Microsoft has always done things they just make the OS and some comps run it good others don't. Thank god Apple doesn't do that and that is why they are more successful cant wait for my iPhone 4

  • @17Manning

Unfortunately, the only product that can be applied to what you said is the ipod and the iphone. Also, look at the marketshare for computers for once. And also its not that some comps run it well or not its what parts you put in the comp. You really have no idea what you're talking about don't you? I can build a better pc under the price of a MAC.

  • @asianoutcast87 no actually I do know what I'm talking about and ya Window phone 7 hasn't come out yet and correction to your statement has dell, compaq, etc. all those windows OS running computers ever made the iPod or iPhone with windows OS on it NO Apple makes there products and doesn't let other comps use their OS to run. Funny thing is I have built a PC and I do own a Mac and which one works better and doesn't get viruses? the Mac sorry buddy and btw dont forget PC Mag even stated the

  • @17Manning Dude take a shower, you smell like fanboy.

  • @asianoutcast87 the best run version of Windows 7 is on a Mac oh ya forgot Macs can also run PCs own software better than any other comp

  • This is actually a really good commercial. I've never really noticed that until I saw this vid. Microsoft are going to to a great job on combining everything from social networks to music to games. No matter how much iphone lovers hate MS, this is a great commercial. Also, its never too late than never. When android came out, people said it was too late. Look where it is at right now, growing more than ever.

  • @asianoutcast87 the android is a threat to both apple and microsoft. looks interesting. and also HP just bought Palm so you know theyre gonna be part of this. Palm OS is sexy.

  • This is actually a REALLY good video. Regardless of how good or bad the new Windows Phone 7 really is, the video itself is really well done. Great direction, great visual effects and post-processing. Very compelling, too, which means it was well-written. Bravo! I'd love to see this show up on TV as a commercial someday.

  • I think that they were late and also they're glorifying too much their new product.

Well at least it was wisely thought and beautifully designed. But not a revolution really, its just a evolution from the Iphone concept. Don't get me wrong but the Iphone was one of the very first cellphones of this category.

  • Yeah,

It seems like they waited until iPhone got known, used to, and realized of it's flaws.

Microsoft is coming out and saying "Okay. This phone has tons of apps, Runs fast, and can let you browse without going place to place. It's Everything iPhone, But improved by a thousand times." I want this thing so badly. Hope it's not TOO expensive though...

  • @ken936 Well it won't be out until december. Until then get the HD2 htc.

  • i'm not an iphone fan, but this windows looks like to much hype.

  • The phone is gonna rule!! as soon as it is launched!!!

  • INFOMERCIAL!

    hate it!

  • bei 0:55 hat die Frau ein HTC HD2 in der Handy .. wird es vielleicht doch ein officielles Update geben? :)

  • Lovin' the looks of it. But people like me can't afford expensive $30/month data plans. How about taking all of these great ideas and applying them to make a great "dumb phone" too? Please Microsoft?

  • zune hd2 and zune 5.0.

    Coming fall 2010!

  • Microsoft actually plans on using the OS for low end phones as well. They plan on updating and giving WinMo 6.x a major facelift and a new graphical shell and releasing it as Windows Phone Classic. It's more designed for non-touch screen phones. Should be interesting to see.

  • amazing video!!!! and phone!!!!

    it looks great!!!!

    iphone apps lol!!

  • @kagunmmm

on the demo it is looks like faster, smoother and better than WM 6.5 + HTC Sence

  • It looks faster, but it doesn't look or work like windows anymore...it's something completely different now.

  • Thats the idea, 0:43 We START OVER...

  • i have an iPhone 3GS

but im not gonna lie, this looks pretty sexy and sick. Cant wait to get a better look at it !

  • If you pause at 0:49, its the prototype device...but if you pause at 0:54, guess what...its the HTC HD2!! and now they say its "unqualified" for WP7S upgrade -.-

  • feels like Windows mobile is looking more like toys than what was known for business user. Although i like how it's easy to use, does the too simplicity makes any os look boring? This can't be any graphically advanced. Too simple makes any os boring. Right now i have windows mobile 6.5 devices. HTC Touch pro 2 and Sony Ericsson Xperia x1. Now i'm shifting to WebOS from Palm. sigh.

  • wow I will probably buy this and ditch my iphone but since it comes out around November I will probably wait and see what Apple has in store for the the iphone 4g when they announce it around September. now if you'll excuse me I need to change my pants

  • dam crazy

    this + HD2 = OWN IPHONE

  • This would have put them on top of the market if they had "reinvented" the mobile phone experience in 2006 or 2007 but unfortunately apple beat them to it. Sad really, MS has always been one step behind where real innovation comes in.

  • Can't wait.

  • not too late I think its good timing by microsoft.

  • @robhingston I agree 100%. People are stuck with the 3 top end smart phones, that being the Android based phones, the iPhone, and Blackberries. But now that Microsoft is stepping in, we'll see what happens to the remainders.

  • I am definitely going to by one out right, since I just upgraded 3months ago and won't be able to until after 2010. I want it.

  • nice!!.cant wait

  • I cannot wait for this phone. Plus, the release of the apps Marketplace for this phone will also be compatible for the ZuneHD. Microsoft is finally getting everything right with Bing, Zune, Windows 7, Windows Phone, and Silverlight. We love you Redmond!

  • Mobile WINDOWS 7?

    Mobile WINDOWS 7?

    Mobile WINDOWS 7?

    Mobile WINDOWS 7?

    Mobile WINDOWS 7?
