  • @urdynamix1 The fuck you on about, FL Studio is dope as hell... I own an MPC 60II and MPC 3000 and they cannot compete with FL Studio if you know what you are doing... Ask 9th, Mr Green, Kelakovski, and every other dope ass FL Studio user. Get the fuck outta here.

  • wtz da name of da song ?

  • how is he changing his instruments on his keyboard by touching the data wheel on his mpc??

  • @recherpico Thats the same question I want to know because I have a 3000 myself...

  • @PuCCiPuCCe He has the mpc hooked up with midi cables to a sound module/rack or keyboard

  • @EnveBeats I know that, but I didnt know you could switch instruments by rotating the data wheel...He is switching instruments on the MPC itself, he barely touches whatever he is using as the sound source.

  • @recherpico bcuz the mpc i used as a midi center with 4 outs to dif modules and the midi keyboard is used to send data to the mpc of which notes that is gonna be played

  • @recherpico its called midi

  • the tempo is faster and you can barely hear the sample it just isnt cool like it is on this video

  • the one on focstrumentals isnt half as good as it is on this video

  • does anyone know where to get focstrumentals vol 1?... i can only find vol 2... only dead links for vol 1

  • Focus is the truth! i love this beat.

  • I appreciate the love from everyone... follow me on twitter @afamfocus... A little info... the sample I used is called "Youth is wasted on the Young" by The Tymes of the Turning Point lp..

  • @TheRealFocus will you make another video making a beat in it? it would be hella dope, you got mad talent at what you do.

  • @TheRealFocus Man i think its awesome that you took the time to just give out the name of such a gem, but im curious.. whats the keyboard your playing your instruments from and were the sounds ones you sampled yourself or did they come with the board ?? if you could get back to me it would be mad appreciated

  • its actually an MPC3000le to be more precise ;)

Boi-1da, Dawaun Parker, Focus..., Hi-Tek, J. R. Rotem, DJ Khalil, Mel-Man, RZA, Scott Storch.

    Dr. Dre + Detox = 2010

    Focus Is Dope Azz Hell

  • Pretty dope beat !!! Nice floww

  • @hombreuno13 Its in a batch of beats of his called focustrumentals. you can find it on his or kidas bandcamp

  • @impatientp worrd... thanks man

  • @impatientp

I have found all kinds of bandcamp releases, but no "focustrumentals". Do you have a link?

    Peace

  • @bloodymirgulag Check your PM's

  • @impatientp can you send me the link too?

  • a few less vst's ... he's still real talented

  • he didnt use any vsts u dont kno what ur talking about

  • This arrangement is on point.

  • dope but he added a little much... just the bass and keys was BANGIN.... the rest was a little much

  • I think the whole thing would be better with just the raw sample and the bass.

  • thats cause he has real talent in music. Most beats people make are simple and making a beat like this is alot harder, not to say simple beats aren't good.

  • what Program u use?

  • Doe's that dude look like he's using fl studio or some shit to you? the program dont matter, if ur good you can make a sick track on a horrible program..

  • It does.. Because my Instruments doesnt response good on fl studio but on Live lite 4 they do So it does matter

  • that doesnt make any damn sense

  • it does ......

  • so use live lite damn dude

  • I have listened to this beat for so long (almost 3 yrs). It still gives me chills!! XD

  • after a couple of years his gonna be the next big producer, his a genius.

  • whats the song name that he's sampling ??

  • This nigga better not be under aftermath all his career, is obvious that the money must be good, but focus is much more than Dr dre and therefore should shine by himself .....please listen to the homage tracks(that classic sound).

  • what beats to what songs did this guy make?

  • good work on this !

  • Absolutely beautiful track! My god i wish i had this record, wonder what the sample is?

  • If someone wants to hear more beats like this from Focus, type : Salah Edin.

He is a famous Dutch rapper.

  • 20k for one job sound nice to me !

  • Y'know!!!, for a producer who is just getting on i'd sure take 20k. Though i think it's a better in the long run to focus on "Profitability" first before actual "profit" and here, profitabilty means credits on a record to get exposure as a producer.

  • to me dre is a bit lazy hes good but he needs to put out more music damm primo iz still grinding!

  • this dude is sooo beast

  • It depends, Dr Dre might pay extra to NOT put anyones names on the credits (hense, scott storch for still dre)

  • He has ghost producers..

The new MM single we made you was produced by Doc Ish outta Hartford CT, Dre gave him $20,000 and his name is not on it and no publishing.

  • on 20k? Whoa tht dude got jipped

  • What are you talking about. First off dre doesn't have ghost producers he uses musicians, stop believing everything you read. Secondly Doc Ish WAS credited I have Relapse and his name is on there and the vocalist who sings the hook is his artist she was credited as well.

  • Listen I'm not sure is you understand this biz from a producer stand point..

You want your Publishing, On the we made you track he got 20K Str8 Up and thats it... He would have been better giving the record for free and getting his 3 points of publishing..

MM is going to do around 5 million copies of this CD and not to mention all the single sales and radio spins..

Who ever got those 3 points most likely made around $400,000 dollars

DR Dre? 50 cent? or maybe the label

  • First of all, I am a producer so I do know the business from that point of view. The man was credited and in the interview Doc explained that Eminem wanted the record and Dre flipped it. There is no ghost in that it's in the air. People who say Dre uses ghost producers are delusional. When I look at the booklets everyone gets credited properly, and if a person works with a producer and doesn't have his business together, that wouldn't be Dre's fault. It would be the producers fault.

  • Dre doesnt make beats homie, trust me. he dont even do his own digging. lol

  • First off Dre rarely ever samples, so I don't know what digging you are talking about. Secondly you nor me is in the studio with Dre when he works so you can't speculate that. There are plenty of artists who have said they witnessed Dre make records from scratch. Dre has musicians but so does Quincy Jones, and every other great composer out there. What makes Dre any different? No one says anything about others who compose with musicians. He's not a beat maker he produces records.

  • lol the whole chronic album was sampled damn near, thats what g funk was, tracks made from old funk samples with synths added. secondly ALL of his nwa work was sampled.

and lastly dre works with producers on most of his shit. read up on Mel man and hi tek

  • I don't need to read up on anything homie. I don't need a history lesson on Dre's legacy I know ALL about the doc he's my favorite producer. He started OUT sampling then around 95 he moved into synth and arrangement. There is no ghost producing or none of that bullshit people say on here they don't know what they are talking about. Yes he works with producers and they get CREDITED. They may assist Dre, but he is the one PRODUCING those records. He engineers, mixes and makes them what they are.

  • they made the beats, he masters them and list them as co producers. dre is schisty

  • Tell me something, how do you know that? How do you know what goes on in his studio? You ever made beats with him lol? You're going by what you think you know and not what you can prove. You have no idea what goes on in that studio.

  • I know Mel Man, who worked with dre for years, hes from my neighborhood and his baby mom and my mother grew up together, as did i and his daughter

  • This man you are watching in this video is a good friend of mine, and Focus worked worked for Aftermath for 8 years I'm sure you know that. I know others who worked and know the Doc. I know people who know Dre too homie lol. You ain't the only one.

  • on that note, why did Mel Man leave the label? was Dre taking credit for Mel's shit?

  • mel left and came back. and yeah it was because of that

  • Comment removed

  • lol scott was in the credits fool aswell as cris gambon & melman go check the albums booklet. Do some research before u post ur bullshit comments on youtube

  • dre doesnt take credit for what focus does the beats that focus produced he gets credit for on albums!

  • If you look at some of the "Aftermath" albums, (Game, 50, etc.) Focus is on some of the credits. (By himself) Everyone who says Dre takes credits for beats he didn't make need to stop reading the "Source". Geez, stop putting out dated information...

  • 1:35...he's gonna crack his neck.

  • u guys are stupid if ya think he dont already know dat Dre takes all the credits , thats what he gets paid for STUPIDS ... and i dont think dre takes credits just like ya think .

  • download this instrumental on my page. i looped it. check out. peace.

  • nice work

  • the beats are sickkk

he and dre are sick when they work together

  • can i download this instrumentaL?

    where can i find it!

i like focus .. hes mi idol!

  • HOTT new SONG on my page it hott people new track for the summer pass it on.....

  • its sad dre takes all the credit

  • @stanis3k why!!! clearly not the still of dre... so dre get the credits, if he says that he made the beat, otherwise..... Fucking dope beat

  • @stanis3k Why!! Clearly not dre style of beat, easy to notest that its not dre beat.... he stays with the cts if he says that he made the beat.. otherwise.

    Fucking dope beat

  • @stanis3k , not tht much anymore

  • @stanis3k no dre only takes credit for dj kalhil nd its smart 2 let him cuz dre's beats can go up 2 1 mill nd dre cuts them a check now isn't that smart

  • Do you really think all the money goes to Dre?

    They are a team.

  • no dre dont get shit really he gets fame the ghost producer gets a shit load i was offered a position like that with kajmir royale

  • u make dr dre a lot of money my friend, lets hope you see most of it...

  • Amazing how people like him do it just like that!

  • YUP!

  • i thinks thats a mpc 3000 that he is using and dj quik uses one as well as alot of producers and also havoc from mob deep.

  • what machinne is that he 's working with to record the samples and stuff

  • mpc3000

  • dope!
