Yeah, your not the only one who notices, some of the drivers are quite rude and almost abusive. You just have to be stern back to them and show you will not be bossed around by a jolly garbo!
So that really squeaky one is different to this one right? - if so, looks like this one has to go back for some anti-sqeak spray!! Bloody hell that engine's got a priceless sound to it - if there was a sound adjustment switch on the engine, someone's definitely tampered with it :D Must say, there's something different about the turbocharger's sound when it comes into effect as well, I reckon you're right about a new one. Great job!
Just with you saying "regular single pass"... I'm just trying to think which truck would be my regular one?! Could swear there's been atleast 5 or 6 different trucks that have done my area. Oh and btw... I found out my council's contract only runs for 5 years, up for renewal mid-way next year - but Veolia's probably going to retain it: they got the trucks, employees, runs and organisation already.
I have noticed that in the vids of your area the drivers differ quite often its not the same driver every week, that happens up here maybe once during the Christmas holidays because some drivers have their holidays. But 159 must of gotten the turbocharger replaced recently because he didn't do my area a few weeks ago, so not sure when it got a new one. Anyway hope Veolia renew the contract, they are in a better position than another contractor. But does that mean that you will get new trucks?
Yer been a heap of different drivers in my area like you mentioned... was another one today actually. There's been about 3 or four drivers that have had the run as permanent, now four, and the rest are usually fill-in or are training. With the new contract, I don't think there will be any new trucks on the way, majority still have a lot of life in them. Though there are about 4 RLs that would be about 9 years old and two SLs that'd be well over 10 years old... they might be getting replaced.
Yeah, its weird, yesterday 4 garbage trucks drove down my street, all finishing my area. But I noticed now that they have two trucks doing my area, one does one side of the street, the other does the other side of the street, its alot faster. We also have the new old MJ's doing my are as well regularly.
Yeah, this is my regular Single Pass truck (159) and it is featured in all my Single Pass vids, so you are familiar with it as 'the squeaky one' lol! But I have noticed on several occaisions that this truck sounds nice, however today it sounded so nice today. This is the nicest sounding truck that I have ever heard, so you can look forward to some more vids of it next fortnight. But it must have a new turbocharger because it sounds so good!
i was down in a city WM operates and saw some wheelie bins! i was really surprised as there rare here! however i didnt get the amrep collecting it but i did get a lot of other footage of the amreps! so look for em!
