I like the sound WHILE turning the knobs, shows the full range of the sweep if i am using those terms right .is there a way to mod it to have an exp pedal or additional control do this?

Hi Louis, I have never tried the new version. It is digital so will sound different to this. If you think it sound good then it is good! G

@fendergio parole sante...alcuni pedali dovrebbero vietarli alla vendita, dovrebbero fare un controllo severo di ogni prodotto...alcuni sono un'offesa al suono e alla musica, non valgono nemmeno 1 euro...purtroppo la tecnologia è andata in "saturazione" per usare un termine tecnico!

Awesome demo! I've been trying to get Trower's early tones using all kinds of Vive pedals and then I read he used 2 of these and your demo convinced me that's exactly what he used. Only thing is, he seems to get kind of an octave overtone. so not sure if he ran a fuzz-octavia into it at the same time or what. Thanks!

blondegraemey I really enjoy your vids and you have a lot of really nice gear. Keep up the vids. Have you tried the Foxrox paradox? I love it my favorite flanger. It is thur zero though and not really the same as the mistress. Both are cool I am just use though zero more.

chorus came from the leslie speaker on a slow speed and later the uni-vibe pedal.... yes you can get a very close sound from a flanger as well but flanging is based on a old reel to reel tape going chewy..it was john lennon who gave it the name flanging...

Andy Summers did us the EH flanger in the early days of the police..he also used the CE-1 and if you check out the live DVD from the late 80's in new york you can clearly see a boss CE-2 on his pete cornish pedalboard

Just learned 2 new things. 1. Message in a Bottle is flange not chorus.  2. The old Electric Mistress didn't have chorus.

You can make a flanger give a chorus sound at certain settings. IMO a flanger has a better chorus sound than a chorus pedal! Kinda weird, but yeah...

No, Andy Summers used the Electric Mistress for that tone. It's a common misconception that he was using chorus for that sound.

I got my deluxe in the fall of '08. And I can't seem to get that vintage sound. It's almost like they tweaked it. Very sensitive on the dials.

Easy way to quickly identify an old one: it has a fixed power cord and not a DC adapter that plugs in.

I love this pedal. I think mine is an old one, the surface is a bit scratched. The chorusey flanging is WONDERFUL. So warm & syrupy.

I find that the effect sounds thicker when only using the flanged output.
