Lets not get overly dramatic? 3000 people lost their lives b/c our nation was attacked. And all you people can talk about is some insane theory of how this is a billioniare's scheme to trick the insurance companies for a few more billions. If this is a scheme to steal some money then it's one of the dumbest and most expensive way to do so. Sacrafice 3000 lives and collapse the stock market as a result? I don't think "designed to take significant sideways forces that rarely happen" includes falling debris from 2 100+ story steel structure collapsing next door. I'm not saying I trust the government 100%, but if you absolutely trust this conspiracy theory with 100% confidence that WTC 7 was not brought down by the the complication of 2 massive steel structure violently crashing down into lower Manhatten and pushing debris into the sea, then you are not considering all options.

The owner of the WTC complex, Larry Silverstein, admitted that WTC7 was "pulled", as in a controlled demolition.

WTC7 had only 1 or 2 small minor fires, compared to the massive destruction plainly evident in the towers. I don't recall hearing of ANY rescue operations in WTC7, do you? But, I remember hearing of LOTS of rescue operations responding to the twin towers.

So, I'm quite certain "it" does NOT refer to a non-existant rescue operation at WTC7. I dont recall hearing of any casuaties coming from WTC7, do u?

@tomkwc please consider that there were 2 buildings - one on each side of the building 7 - that didn't have enough damage to make them collapse; also there were 2 more WTC buildings straight beneath the towers (buildings 6 and 5) which albeit the really heavy damage, stood still for i think a month till they were literally pulled. in fact the only buildings that collapsed in NY that day, were in WTC complex. none of the buildings around them had such a severe and irreparable damages.

Why did other buildings that were in closer proximity to the twin towers not collapse before or after or to this day, since WTC7 fell? Steel framed Mariot WTC did not collapse. The debris from the first tower damaged it significantly, the second tower did extreme damage but part of the building stood. Had to be later demolished, as did 6, 5 and 4. WTC7 was across the road from 5 and 6. Remember? and then behind 5 and 6 relative to 7, stood the twin towers.

WTC-7 was not hit by a plane, it caught fire from debris from the towers. It was just a regular fire, no jet fuel, no bar joist floor beams, just a regular high rise fire in a building with working fire sprinklers. It was a lot less intense than this Beijing Fire. Yet it collapsed into itself for three of three at the NYC Trade Center. Three of three that are the only three cases. Yes, two hit by planes, but not WTC-7, which was no different from fires like the one in Beijing.

Ever played Jenga? Take out a crucial piece at the bottom of the structure and see what it does to the rest. Sometimes, all it takes is 1or 2 columns to create a domino effect.

No, I haven't heard of the game, it sounds fun. Steel frame structures, however, are not like games where you can pull out a piece. They are welded and bolted together with carefully designed joints designed to take significant sideways forces that rarely happen. In addition they are designed with redundancy so they can lose a column or two without catastrophic results.

This is a massive fire. The temperatures must have been close to 2500ºF in places. This fire raged for hours, consuming the entire building, from the ground floor to the penthouse. Did this building collapse? Of course not. Modern steel high rise buildings do not collapse because of fires, even ones as intense and as long-lasting as this, or the Madrid hotel fire. Compare this raging inferno, aided by quantities of fireworks, to the small, isolated localized fires in WTC 7.
