You just don't know what music really is and what it's really about...Boots Randolph is one of the greatest of all time and desreves his respect....this coming from an experienced saxophonist
LOL...Great comments from the Peanut Gallery...and Where are Your Gold Records hanging?
And how many recordings have you played on that sold millions of records? Slow Music does Sell...It has through out every genre of music. Your opinions are so valued~
Did I see Chet there also? Country music lost 3 of the best musicians when Chet, Floyd & Boots left us. It looks like this was taped at the Nashville Palace, which they owned.

About two years ago, I found Boots' website with an e-mail listed for contacting him! So I sat down and wrote him everything that you would want to tell your idol. I told him how much he had influenced my playing even though I'm in my thirties and that my father had introduced me to Yakety Sax while I was in high school. I told him of the hours I had spent learning his songs from records and how much those things were still with me today. He responded "Thank you, your sax buddy, Boots"
Exactly, but YouTube thinks that anyone who likes to feel a part of the YouTube community by adding their two cents to a lot of videos by text comments must be some sort of advertising auto-responder. I'm glad you understood exactly what I was saying.
Great posting.. thanks for putting that up... Would love to see a video of Mr. Randolph playing Harlem Nocturne... Loved that tune with him covering it..
Best of the Best. Anymore?,please post. I don't think any sax player contributed more to the sound of the sax, than Boots Randolph. Gary Weaver, thanks to you too!
Thanks for posting. I am deeply saddened to hear of Boot's passing. I grew up listening to him on my parents LPs, and still to this day have NEVER heard a sax player as soulful as him.
Huge fan of them both!!

He was great! Saw him in 1979 in Tenn. Feel in love with his music right then! Will always remember that time.

there's no need for all those useless notes first of all, second, the rest of the band is playing about 1 note per hour, LOL! slow music fails!
