with great difficulty! The back bit does lift up, but it's a bit heavy with all that stuff on it, then needs a broom handle to hold it up!

i went to the back to the future 20th anniversary showing at the uci cinema in basildon 2005 they had the original deloreans and i think that replica was the one there it was awesome

Car was ahead of its time. 81 through 82 was a bad time for a new car. John Delorean had a lot of money problems. They were rushed to production without sufficient testing. Dealers were selling the Delorean for as much as $10,000 over sticker. A lot things just went wrong with the company in Ireland. Until BTTF came out people had thought of the Delorean as a lemon. Now you can get one with all the "bugs" out of them from DMC of Houston TX.

what you do is you get the delorean from the movies or make one that looks like it. then you set it up so that when it hit's 88mph it like shoots oil and flames out of the rear and like flood lights on the car flash so that it looks like it actually went back in time. and to make it even more real make the lines along the side of the car light up like blue neon lights. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

The Delorean has a 2.8 liter Peugot Renault Volvo V6 with 130 hp. The engines were reliable but didn't have a lot of power. However Delorean Motor Company of Houston has a Stage 2 performance upgrade for the Delorean with 70 more horsepower available.
