im sorry to say i have to agree with her it is a unconstitutional war on the grounds the resolution he is speaking of is unconstitutional it takes the power away form congress to declare war and it gives it all to the executive branch
I am critical of the Left's homoSatanists and Sodomites that were against the war as their Democrat leadership was for the war... before they became against it... because Al Gore lost an election.
How many of your Democrat sons signed up after 9/11? Very few. You want homosexuals to do your fighting.
AMEN FELLOW VET !!! SHOULD BE MANDATORY IN SCHOOL TO LEARN THE CONSTITUTION, BILL OF RIGHTS AND DECLARATION OF INDEPENDANCE !!! MAYBE WE WOULDN'T BE IN THE SHAPE WE ARE TODAY ???
I commend this soldier for the sacrifices he made for America. Nice job and I'll support your cause. Although I wasn't there, I appreciate the risks you and your fellow soldiers took. I don't doubt the strength of the troops for one second and don't use the death of soldiers for propaganda purposes.
No it wasn't. "Tantamount" to a declaration is just a fancy way to label the reality that occurred, congress conjuring another way to engage in hostilities without going through the constitutional declaration process. And it just reenforces a bad precedent that the executive branch can decide when to wage war. We've hardly formally declared war since ww2.
Keep in mind that the "professor" teaches at Dear Leader's alma mater. That should give you some insight into his worldview. Marxists are against war unless it is for the purposes of eliminating their opposition and preferably via starvation and "reeducation" camps.
@jim1195 Also they're strangely quiet when a radical leader is in charge. Want to know why Marxists and the like want to force people to stay in the countries they control is because they, themselves know that their system is nothing but a sham.
@DJBiscuit...I guess you didn't see that I specified honest person. There is the out side chance that you never change the channel from the fox news network so you wouldn't recoginize the truth if it ran over you in the passengers seat of an 18 wheeler. If you don't believe rove, cheney, rumsfeld are capable of lying about intelligence just check with joe wilson or valerie plame.Remember scooty libby was guilty.Oh..and stick that geez louise shit up your ass!!!
One of the real travesties is that, while Ilario Pantano has been twice exonerated (once in a military proceeding, and more recently via an exhumation of the remains of the two Iraqi Islamic radicals and a scientific forensic study) the local North Carolina media still hold the story hostage, perpetuating a lie by the sin of omission. I called a Wilmington reporter who covers this beat and chastised him for this. It is pure yellow journalism. He should ashamed. Verne Strickland.
I love this guy..... freaking slack jawed candy ass bed wetters, way to go Marine, you did us proud fighting a three front war, Afghanistan, Iraq and liberals at home...
Ha ha.....DJBiscuit thinks forensics can determine if someone was assassinated? We have film of Kennedy being shot, and we know it wasn't suicide. Entry and exit wounds do not tell the story of whether or not this yahoo murdered innocent civilians or was defending himself. Think before I type? Check the mirror. Nice fail with the misdirection on Kennedy, but don't think your note exonerates anyone.
I have known Ilario for the past five years. He and my nephew, who was also in Iraq, have been good friends for many years. I have sat with Ilario, prayed with Ilario, and listened as he spoke to family and friends. He doesn't waltz into a room to attempt to make it all about him, but desires to make it all about what is right for our country. I witnessed him speak to a man who was not a Pantano supporter and at the end of the long conversation, he was. Again, he's the real deal!
@0706mark I don't know which planet you're from, but Ilario Pantano is the real deal and does not use people and is all about what is good and right for our country. I pray he is elected - we need men like Ilario.
@MrRafaelblock No, Mr. Brilliant. Forensics shows the smaller entry wound and the larger exit wounds, together with the tell-tale beveling. The same scientific knowledge that shows JFK was shot in the back of the head and the bullet exited in the front. Unless, of course, you think they just asked JFK where he was shot.
I live on the west coast and I have supported Pantano since he was being charged with murder. I wish he'd run for president so I could vote for him - meanwhile all you NC people get out there and vote for this guy. I love him
Sorry, "the lady" is always pontificating using the Talking Points without regard to fact. Hers is a familiar face on the poster of supreme practitioners of BS regurgitation. Intel at the time supported the war as did both House & Senate and both parties.
Typical fox propaganda from from the king of bullshit, eric blowing.Just let the republican candidate say anything he wants and the cut the lady off as soon as she says the war was illegal.Any honest person who has followed the lead up to the Bush pre-emptive iraqi war knows rumsfeld, wolfowitz, cheney etc. hand picked intelligence to justify attacking Iraq.Iraq had no WMDS and had nothing to do with 9/11 and the CIA knew that before we invaded. No one at the whitehouse listened or cared
@Blacklung27 both are wars of choice- meaning they were both unforced and unnecessary to our country unlike the revolutionary war, civil war, etc. and pushed by this domino theory that if we didn't step in, the iraqi people would be the slaves of al queada and vietnam- all would be communists.they both had unclear goals & were perceived by in the media as welcomed with open arms which we later learned was clearly not the case. & lastly, both wars were a complete embarrassment. done.
@lilybeeplily Yes they were unnecessary wars I agree. But you do have some of your facts wrong. In Iraq we were welcomed, with open arms by the Shia majority. It was the sunnis and the religious extremists who had a problem and fought us. And there were stockpiles of chemical weapons in Iraq, as well as Al Queada training camps funded by Saddam for attacks in Turkey and Kurd regions of Iraq and exporting world wide.
@lilybeeplily yes, so terribly unjust - trying to save the ethnic groups killed by Hussein, and now, we see they've started again right after we left. Ah, who cares, right? It's just Iraqis being blown to bits. Sunnis, Shiites - all the same thing right? Not our problem.
@lilybeeplily Wow! DJBiscuit must've hit a sore spot on you. Can't understand the fact that the people--the ethnic groups per se, were freed from the total dictatorship of Hussein? That sure bothers you, doesn't it?
@MorpheusRS82 damn straight! honest as the day is long. I'd follow this guy into the trenches. And I can't say that about many of the TS's I had in the military!
Death threats on a marine's family? There's special hell for scum like that.

Just because congress handed over there responsibility doesn't then make it constitutional.
