Clear sky comletely defines the atmospheric loneliness and horror that soc had to offer and instead it became a gun blazing cheap battlefield imitation. But u know what I kinda liked it =)

i like that clear sky has an long faction wars campaign and there are unlimmited side quests. this game isnt very buggy with latest patches/ mod fixes.

dudes,did any1 else got that bug at clear sky base at that trader Docent Suslov? once didnt know what da fuck happened the trader had all the equipment u could ever imagine,from exoskeletons to RP-74 Mashine guns....basicly,in first mission (clearing the swamps from renegades) i had exoskeleton,dragunov,and RP-74 mashine gun......that was the bug that didnt appear next time i installed the game... BTW where did u buy exoskeleton?

or you can join freedom and you will get some equipment for joining them,speak to the guide and go to the stalker base in cordon,join the stalkers,and sell the equipment you got from freedom.again speak to the guide and go to the freedom base and join them,then repeat the steps above.how much money you get depends on your reputation with the stalkers.

i've only played call of pripyat(and i really wanna play clear sky). the only problem to me on clear sky and shadow of chernobyl(both of which i havent played) is that you can't choose to roam around AFTER you beat the main part of the campaign. on call of pripyat, you can choose if you are ready to leave the zone or not. but to me, clear sky makes up for it with the faction wars system. i like alota chaos in my videogames(especialy open worlders)

I played c.o.P. It looks like there are no differences between cop and Clear sky (except Lightning I think so cause of videos posted here and cause of dx-10 or -11 !?) Although i never played Clear sky (maybe I should :) , i´d advise to play c.o.p fisrt, to understand the story. If you are lazzy you don´t have to do all the missions. Just play it and you´ll see. (Sorry for my bad english x)

Just another comment, if you want third person in game you right click on your stalker shortcut and click properties. Then in the place with the writing box add at the end -psp". Then load your game and click press the squiggly below escape and then type: bind cam_1 kf1 then enter. Then type: bind cam_2 kf2. And then: bind cam_3 kf3. Have them seperate enters and then you can switch camera views with F1, F2, F3. Enjoy.

join freedom, take one big ass pimped sniper rifle, go to duty's base and kill them all from a distance, new squads will keep appear. When you have had enough of it help freedom to take all the roads and let them capture duty's base.

Gather all the stuff and sell it to the neutral stalker trader.

If you feel like you dont have enough money kill some of those freedoms at the duty base so the regenerated duty squad can take over their base again and start sniping them down again.

Hey random question: anyone ever captured a faction HQ? What happens to the technician and shopkeeper?

@PrezPendejo Yes, you can capture the HQ's. The easiest one to capture is the bandits' HQ, because they are the weakest. Join the stalker faction in the stalker base in the upper part of the Cordon and just kill all bandits in the base and you are done. It is very buggy though, because stalkers will most likely not go there and if they do not, bandits keep respawning until stalkers go inside it. U can also try capturing Duty or Freedom HQ, but that is rather buggy so I wouldn't recommend it.

When I try to do it, the main building with the leader inside always locks up and I can't directly kill them, but when I killed off all the guards and waited for my allies to capture it while I was out of the map the shopkeepers and the leader disappear, I guess they just all die

Fuck exoskeletons are shit! Very low anomaly protection and you can't sprint in it, which makes grenades very deadly because NPCS have some sort of laser guiding system that allows them to throw grenades at their target's feet. I beat Clear Sky twice, my first time with a pimped out SEVA suit and my second with a Bulat suit. IMHO, The Bulat suit is the best one in CS because it has decent anomaly protection, very good bullet cap, and it can be upgraded to have two artifact containers.

you can do this trick in the bandit base too - the trader always survives the assault, and stays friendly - not always - but you can sell some shitt to him. Also there is an artifact in the bandit base - at the garbage.

The guns jam way too much once they get down to 2/3 condition though. Like every few bullets. Plus the accuracy goes down heaps, not really that realistic.
