I also have my own suspicions about the moon. I asked a physicist if the moon is rotating and he said of course it is. So then I have to wonder why, since my childhood, have I only seen one side of the moon? That same side that looks like a face. Why don't we see it from other angles if it is spinning? The moon was formed during a collision between Earth and another almost equally sized mass. The impact formed the moon and tilted the Earth. Earth isn't tilted BECAUSE of the moon just being there, but they started at the same event.

I also have my own suspicions about the moon. I asked a physicist if the moon is rotating and he said of course it is. So then I have to wonder why, since my childhood, have I only seen one side of the moon? That same side that looks like a face. Why don't we see it from other angles if it is spinning? And back to clarify that other guys comment. Most moon rocks are older than Earth rocks, because the Earth is "active." Much of the surface gets recycled through the mantel over time, making it geographically young in comparison to the moon.
